Salman Khan refuses to host Hrithik Roshan?

Be it the host Salman Khan or its high TRPs, Bigg Boss always attracts Bollywood celebrities who are promoting their upcoming films.

Hence, it was not a surprise that 'Krrish 3' team wanted to promote their film on the reality show. However, what came as a surprise was that while both the leading actresses Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut came to talk about the movie in the show, lead actor Hrithik Roshan was conspicuous by his absence.

A DNA report reveals that while Hrithik was keen to promote the film on the reality show, Salman was not keen to host him. There is an apparent tension between them in the past and hence Salman apparently refused to interact with the Krrish 3 star.

Hence, Hrithik was seen promoting the movie in Comedy Nights With Kapil and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah but not on Bigg Boss. However, a source from Colors told DNA that Hrithik could not come to promote the film due to date issues.

Movie Review: Krrish 3

Story: Each time evil awakens in the world, a superhero rekindles his superpowers. This time Krrish is back, with thrice the power to destroy the demonic Kaal and his bastion of beastly mutants.

Review: Evil doesn't raise its ugly head anymore. It raises a finger. But then 'Good' flies too. In 'Superhero' form - Caped, masked, winged - with muscles of steel and hearts of gold. Our comic-book phirang fantasy boys have flown high as 'Supermen' in Hollywood epics for eons. In India, only one man with an audacious flight of imagination - Rakesh Roshan - has thrice-over, superbly crafted a fantastical world 'alien' to Bollywood, with our very own amazingly evocative superhero - Krrish (Hrithik).

Leaping from where the prequel ended, Krishna (Hrithik) lives with his wife (Priyanka), and genius Dad, Rohit Mehra (Hrithik). In twirling black cape and mask, he hurtles across the city on heroic rescue operations, playing good hubby and doing odd jobs (as the alter ego). But his life is uproariously interrupted with the emergence of a dark and destructive world of an evil called 'Kaal' (Vivek). A maniacal villain, with special powers and a venomous will to erase inferior beings - the human race.

Kaal fuses DNA, to create an assortment of evil mutants called maanvars (manav+jaanwar) - a horned Rhinoman, red-eyed Antman, a Frogman (who gives lot of tongue) and a super-shapely chameleon Kaya (Kangna). He wants to spread a deadly virus to exterminate humanity, but Krrish uses his superpowers to save 'mankind' from the malignant 'mutakind'.

Hrithik is truly the stuff superheroes are made of. Brandishing his Greek-God looks and almighty powers. Displaying larger-than-life flair and flying shoulder-to-shoulder with any Hollywood superman. As the prosthetically pot-bellied and ageing Rohit, he is incredible. Vivek, as a physically disabled anti-hero is menacing as a 'hellboy'. His lunatic laugh and white-washed make-up make him fearfully fantastic. Priyanka is good in her limited role. Kangna in her gothic and deviously dark avatar looks stunning and pulls off an outstanding act.

With a visually riveting and emotionally engaging story, intriguing characters, sweeping VFX (unseen thus far on Indian celluloid) Rakesh Roshan's ambitious dream lives up. Yes, it's hugely inspired (by the Bats, Spideys and Wolverines of the West), but our superhero has his own 'X-factor'. Even with all the high-octane car crashes, explosions and 'animatronics', the philosophy is the force behind it all, yet, never overpowering the story.

The songs are slightly disappointing and background score (Salim-Sulaiman) is good, but unable to amp up the magnitude of the film.

For sheer vision, bravado and superlative execution, this one soars to new orbits. Latch on to this cape for an exhilarating ride.

Note: You might not like this film if sci-fi, fantastical films are not your scene.

Kareena paid Rs 1.5 cr to dance on a reality show?

Written By Unknown on Selasa, 29 Oktober 2013 | 21.44

It seems marriage has not affected Kareena Kapoor Khan's popularity, at least in the Middle East. The pretty actress was allegedly paid a whooping Rs 1.5 crore to dance on a reality show in Lebanon.

According to a report in Bollywoodlife.com, Kareena was on a vacation in Lebanon when she was approached by makers of reality show Arab's Got Talent to dance in the show. She was allegedly offered an amount of Rs. 1.5 crore to dance on the show.

Kareena not only agreed to shake a leg but also attended a launch event the next day. While it is surprising for any Bollywood actress to get such a huge amount for performing abroad, maybe her marriage with Nawab of Pataudi, Saif Ali Khan enhanced her brand value.

Kushal-Gauahar using each other: Kushal’s ex Candy

From viewers to the recently evicted Bigg Boss contestants - everyone is of the opinion that Gauahar Khan is using TV heartthrob Kushal Tandon for her own benefits in the seventh edition of Bigg Boss.

However, Kushal's ex girlfriend Candy Brar has a difference of opinion. Candy feels that Kushal is not a kid and he knows that from the time he has had romantic link-up with Gauahar, he has gained visibility and strength.

"It's very wrong and unfair to say that Gauahar is using Kushal as he knows that Gauahar's company has given him many things. From the time he has had a romantic link-up with Gauahar, he gained instant visibility and strength. He is very well aware about what all is happening with him and I will still like to believe that Kushal is smarter than Gauahar," said Candy before entering the Bigg Boss house.

Candy, who has walked the ramp for top designers at multiple fashion shows and is a two-time winner of the Gladrags Mega Model Hunt was in relationship with Kushal for a year and a half. Ask her about Kushal's aggressive side and she says, "Yes, I have seen Kushal's aggressive side. He is very unpredictable; when he gets angry one doesn't know how he will react."

When asked, how she reacts to Kushal-Gauahar's relationship, she says, "I am happy if Kushal has moved on in life. I am not in touch with him for quite some time now. When I meet him inside the house, I will maintain a safe distance with him. Kushal-Gauahar's friendship or closeness is irrelevant for me. I have met his 10 girl-friends in the past, so what he is doing in his personal life doesn't matter to me."

Gauahar-Kushal leave Bigg Boss house?

Nothing seems to be going right for Bigg Boss 7 contestants and love birds Kushal Tandon-Gauahar Khan.

After receiving huge flak from the audiences' and host Salman Khan for passing derogatory comments on house mates Tanisha, Bigg Boss has now asked Kushal to leave the house owing to his fight with co-contestant Andy.

Sources inform that during the 'Ignore the obvious' task last night, Kushal got into a violent fight with Andy, when Andy passed some unpleasant comment about Gauahar. During the luxury budget task 'Ignore the obvious', Andy was asked to irritate, disturb the housemates with his antics and in return the house mates were asked to ignore him. However, the task got ugly when Andy passed some derogatory comments on Gauahar's lingerie.

Andy's comments irked Gauahar and as soon as the task came to an end, she pointed out his mistake but the worst was yet to arrive. When Kushal heard about the entire fight hell knew no bounds.

He immediately rushed to Andy and tried to hit him but the other housemates including Gauahar stopped him. However, Kushal didn't stop and kept abusing Andy. Soon Bigg Boss made an announcement and asked Kushal to pack his bags and leave the house owing to his violent behavior. 'I lost the relevance of God in my life'

Written By Unknown on Senin, 28 Oktober 2013 | 21.44

God has always had less relevance in the life of producer writer Mahesh Bhatt who says his dissatisfaction stemmed from unfulfilled of fundamental longings.

"I lost the relevance of God in my life in my childhood days only. I always wanted my father to stay with me, but when that didn't happen I lost faith. People around me had relevance in him so I never complained too but I felt different for him," Bhatt said.

The filmmaker was participating in the just concluded Indian Languages Festival, which began at the India Habitat Centre.

Sharing a flash back moment, Mahesh said, "I got into LSD and drugs when my films were not working. It was later when I met U G Krishnamurthy, who made me realise that society has its parameters and we have to play in its boundaries.

"I found some meaningful existence after 'Saransh' which looked at an elderly couple who had lost their son. I along with others reexamined the theory of reincarnation," he added.

According to Bhatt, the film industry's approach had also turned hostile in the 1990s.

"It was post Godhra riots when the film industry's narrative of 'India' changed into the version of India that is talked about today. It wasn't easy though; I had to face many hassles for making 'Zakhm', my last film as a director," he shared.

"The film locked horns with right fundamentalist ideology. The censor board told me that I needed clearance from the political bosses. The film was later referred to the home ministry and I was told to replace the saffron head bands with another colour for an 'obvious relevance'.

"I had to use digital technology and it cost me more than forty lakh rupees for a low budget film but the film worked and later it bagged awards.

"I was amazed at the existing hypocrisy around me where at one time they thought that it was irrelevant and had 'inappropriate' content and at the other time they awarded it because it was well received by the audience. That's how it works.!" Bhatt said.

He is often seen venting out his anger, expressing displeasure and even fighting with the housemates when he is treated in an unfair manner. This time, the contestants break the most important rule of the house by discussing the nominations amongst themselves in code language.

Before starting the procedure of nominations, Bigg Boss made an announcement that they have been found guilty for discussing nominations and breaking the rules in the presence of the captain. He asks Kushal to discuss with the housemates and take the names of five contestants who have initiated or encouraged such conversations. Their punishment would be direct nomination for next week. 'Krrish 3' in copyright row, writer claims Rs 2-cr

A writer from Madhya Pradesh moved the Bombay High Court alleging copyright violation of the script of Hrithik Roshan-starrer Krrish-3 and seeking a stay on the all India release of the film this Friday unless he was given a compensation of Rs two crore.

Uday Singh Rajput, a resident of Sagar district in Madhya Pradesh, filed a petition claiming he had written the script titled 'Krrish-2' which was a sequel to Krrish part 1. However, he said he was being denied the credit for writing the story.

Rakesh Roshan, producer of Krrish-3, has also filed a caveat in the High Court urging that no relief should be granted to Uday Singh Rajput unless he (Roshan) is heard in the matter.

Both the applications would be heard tomorrow by Justice S J Kathawala. Rajput claimed he had registered his script titled Krrish-2 with the Film Writers Association on July 23, 2008. Thereafter, he met Roshan and gave him the script. Roshan promised to pay him if the script was used. However, instead of paying him, Roshan used the same script to make a sequel to Krrish and gave the title as Krrish-3 instead of Krrish-2, Rajput alleged.

The petitioner further alleged Roshan had advertised in electronic media that he himself was the story writer of Krrish-3, although before the court in his application Roshan has stated that the story was written by Rubin Bhatt and the script was registered on March 3, 2011.

Rajput claimed his script had been used by Roshan to make the film Krrish-3 which was being released on November 1 and sought a stay on its release until the matter was decided and a compensation of Rs two crore paid to him.

Krrish 3's make-up takes a toll on Hrithik's back

Since Krrish 3's story picks up five years after the end of Krrish, Hrithik wanted a healthier, yet older look for Rohit's character. He hired the services of Mike Stringer, a prosthetic expert, with whom he had worked earlier. Putting on the makeup for Rohit's character would take close to three hours and had to be done early in the morning to make it for the 9 am shift.

Since the procedure took so much time and required Hrithik to be absolutely still, it took quite a toll on his back. It also left skin wrinkles making it that much more difficult to turn into Krishna.

Neil, Richa shoot in Naxal affected zone

Though Neil Nitin Mukesh and Richa Chadda are having a pleasant time shooting for Ishqeria, the duo had to be extra careful while shooting for a romantic track recently. The song was shot at a location in Allahabad that is known to be affected by Naxalites.

A source says, "The place was scenic with waterfalls in a remote area, but we had put up tough security and were not allowed to shoot post six in the evening. We still managed to complete the shoot of the song with no harm caused to any of the cast and the crew members."

Talking about this experience, Neil says, "It is only when we reached there that we learnt that it was a Naxal prone zone. But that's the life of an actor, often requiring him/her to be in tough situations. Believe me, the place was beautiful... a steep stone valley with waterfalls. We often had to trek the cliff without any gear or support."

About his chemistry with Richa, he says, "This is our first film together and what I really like about her is the kind of cinema she has done —very out-of-the-box. I've always wanted to work with her for that."

Katrina, the hottest phuljhadi in town

Diwali is now more about firecrackers, with its essence — the beautiful diyas — being relegated to the position of mere decorative 'items'. The festival of 'lights' is more about noise now and, of course, merchandising of the noisemakers. And how can we think merchandising in India and not think Bollywood...and cricket? We can't, and so can't those who deal in Diwali merchandise.

No wonder, Katrina Kaif is the hottest phuljhadi this season along with other hot B-Town patakhas like Kareena Kapoor Khan and Vidya Balan. And if that's not hot enough, the boxes flaunting their pictures along with other hotties like Sonakshi Sinha, Aishwairya Rai Bachhan, Deepika Padukone, Preity Zinta, Riya Sen and Esha Deol are selling like hot cakes! Even Hollywood stars like Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez and Arnold Schwarzenegger are part of the line-up.

"Popular actors attract customers and boost sales," said Mohammed Jamil Akhtar, owner of a firework shop in the city.

Then again, Ben10, Mr Bean, Chota Bheem and Harry Potter are there for the kids. Popular male actors like Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan are also part of the merchandise. "The actors help attract customers," said Mohammad Salim, a city-based fireworks distributor.

The faces on the boxes also include cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli. After all, when it comes to India, cricket is the next best thing after Bollywood.

I went wrong with Himmatwala: Sajid Khan

After giving blockbusters like 'Heyy Babyy', 'Housefull' and 'Housefull 2', actor turned director Sajid Khan received a lot of flak for his film 'Himmatwala' starring Ajay devgn in the lead role.

Post the film's dud response at the box-office, Sajid has been maintaining a distance from the media but recently at the launch of a TV reality show, Sajid admitted what went wrong with Himmatwala.

"I went wrong with Himmatwala and mujhe mein bahut himmat thi Ki main ne Himmatwala banayi. (I had too much courage to make Himmatwala)," said Sajid.

Sajid, who was also in news for his break-up with Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez, seems to be missing his ex-girlfriend as he kept talking about having no Baliye in his life.

When the two hosts of the TV dance show, Karan Wahi and Gautam Rode complained about not having a baliye, Sajid exclaimed, "Mujhe bhi kahan mili baliye (Even I haven't found my partner."

Why is Mahadev - Mohit Raina called ‘arrogant’?

Mahadev aka Mohit Raina tells us why people think success has gone to his head.

Even before you start to chat with him, there is a 'no personal questions' clause that Mohit Raina, aka Mahadev from Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev starts with. Mohit shies away from answering any questions on his personal life, his early years in TV, his friendship with his co-actors and feels that those are "questions" that people can easily ask people around him. He says, "If you want to ask me about my life before coming to Mumbai, my family and all...then I have a lot of people around me who will tell you that. You can ask them." It seems quite bizarre that people would have want to ask other people around him to know about him but the Devon Ke Dev Mahadev actor wants that.

That remark leads us to ask him why do people think he is "arrogant" or "someone for whom success went to head" and also someone who does not really talk to people. Ask him about it and he says, "I don't know how that impression has been formed in people's minds because I am regularly available to everyone during my lunch break. Besides, for the last two years I have not had a social life at all. I shoot in Naigaon which is 45 kms away and it takes me a couple of hours to get in and out of this costume. Earlier, the show was not conceptualized to have the main focus on Mahadev but later the tracks changed and I have been working for 14-17 hours everyday. I am not complaining, I love the job but people need to understand that I am so focused in my work right now that I don't have time for casual conversations or partying right now." Point taken.

"Gauahar and Kushal locked themselves in loo"

Written By Unknown on Jumat, 25 Oktober 2013 | 21.44

He is out of Bigg Boss 7 after a surprise midweek eviction. But, now nude yoga guru Vivek Mishra is ready to bare his heart. There is relief in his voice as he says: "I'm glad that I have come back with my dignity intact from that mad house!"

The man who has gone on record to say that 'Gauahar is a. B*#*#' explains his irritation with the girl thus: "I hate Gauahar because she instigated everyone and ganged up against a few."

Open affair

Vivek is the only one who refuses to believe that there is an affair happening on the sides between Tanisha Mukerji and Armaan Kohli. He says: "The real physical stuff is happening between Gauahar and Kushal. When Gauahar was unwell and wanted to throw up, she didn't take any girl with her. Instead, she took Kushal with her and they locked themselves up in the loo for almost 20 minutes. When they came out, her lipstick was all gone. Now we are adults and can understand what would have happened!"

Gauhar's night makeup

You are literally in splits when Vivek tells you that 'Gauahar applies fresh makeup before going to bed every day.' He goes on to add: "She says that she wants to wake up pretty! That's fine, but I find it all very fake!"

No smoking for Mickey Virus

People who close their eyes when they see the anti smoking ad and a disclaimer that is shown in the beginning of any film in theaters can take a sigh of relief when they go to watch 'Mickey Virus' releasing this Friday. Since the film has no smoking scene, censor board has allowed them to get away with the disclaimer and the ad.

While it is a good news for the makers and audiences, this has been deliberately designed since the inception of the film by Saurabh Varma, the writer and director of the film.

"We want to cater to not only youth but also family audiences with 'Mickey Virus'. Even when I was writing the script I was very clear that we will steer clear of any kind of abuse, smoking or drug scenes that will alienate audience. Also, Manish Paul has a huge fan following now especially among female audiences hence instead of making him speak offensive words, we've given him quirky north Indian words that are hilarious but absolutely not offensive to listen for example words like Jhalla, baagadbilla or bajarbattoo. We've even used funny vegetable names and other fun stuff to make dialogues funny and quirky," says Saurabh Varma, writer/director, Mickey Virus.

The initiative also made sense since no one in director Saurabh Varma 's family or lead actor Manish Paul's family smokes or drinks.

Shah Rukh Khan is more attractive than Salman Khan

Shah Rukh Khan is 'India's Most Attractive Personality' according to a 16-city survey conducted by Trust Research Advisory (TRA), a Comniscient Group company, based on what it called a '36 Trait Matrix', to measure brand attractiveness. Following Shah Rukh Khan in attractiveness quotient are Amitabh Bachchan and cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Aamir Khan is India's fourth most attractive personality, followed by Mithun Chakraborty, Katrina Kaif, Salman Khan, Sachin Tendulkar and others. Altogether 25 personalities from the field of cinema, sports and social-spiritual, business and music, were listed in the report.

"While we often see attractiveness only in terms of physical beauty, it is much more. It is a function of four founding appeals -- rational, emotional, aspirational and communication. When the quotient is high on all four appeals, the overall attractiveness quotient becomes high," said N Chandramouli, TRA CEO.

Other notable entries were Rabindranath Tagore, Madhuri Dixit, Sourav Ganguly, Sushmita Sen, Chris Gayle, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, Anil Ambani, Karishma Kapoor, Lata Mangeshkar, Sunny Deol, Priyanka Chopra, Rekha, Hrithik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha and Abhishek Bachchan.

Ranbir in a superhero film, different from 'Krrish 3'

Actor Ranbir Kapoor is excited to do a superhero film with director-friend Ayan Mukherjee, but clarifies that it is not on the lines of 'Krrish 3'.

Ranbir will play a superhero in the yet-untitled project, making him the next actor after Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan to essay character with superpowers on celluloid.

"It is not like Krrish 3, it is something very different, it is going to be a fantasy film. It is going to be a trilogy which Ayan has just started writing. We share a great personal and professional relation," Ranbir told media.

"Till now we are in developing stage, he is going abroad for a post production course. Hopefully, we will try and make something path-breaking," he said.

This would be the third film of Ranbir and Ayan after Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani. Both the films were hit at the box office.
Ranbir is also looking to explore himself by playing different roles in films.

"My next film is titled Bombay Velvet. I am playing a boxer in the film. Then I am working on Imtiaz Ali's film and Ayan Mukherjee's superhero film. I will start this film by end of next year. I am trying to do different characters, like in Besharam I played a vulgar, road type tapori character," Ranbir said.

He also expressed his desire to do an action movie, which is the current flavour of Bollywood.

"Since six years I have been trying to make my body but it is not happening. I can't do a full fledged action film till I don't have the body. But I do feel action comes from intensity in your eyes and the way you work for it," he added.

Released on October 2, ' Besharam' failed to garner much attention at the box office.

"I don't regret doing the film. All films can't be hit. My first film 'Saawariya' was also a flop. There is no hit formula. I don't know if there is a hit formula. Rather I think I got the experience to work with my parents and Abhinav Kashyap (director)," Ranbir said at a Philips event.

Kushal is Gauahar's puppet: Viveik Mishra

Nude-yoga teacher Viveik Mishra, who got eliminated from the Bigg Boss 7 in a surprise mid-eviction, says TV heartthrob Kushal Tandon is Gauahar Khan's puppet.

"Gauahar is very bit**y . She has been playing mind games since day one. She tries to manipulate things according to her own benefit. She knows that Kushal likes her and she is using him. I would say Kushal is Gauahar's puppet woh jaise chahe unko naccha rahi hai. She is very artificial," says Viveik.

Viveik, who spend merely a week inside the house, says that he doesn't agree with other Bigg Boss housemates that Tanisha is creating problems for everyone. In fact according to him she is not fake like others. "Tanisha is a very good human being. She is not fake and manipulative like others. She speaks on people's face and is a very positive person. The contestants inside the house feel Tanisha back bitches about everyone but that everyone else is also doing. Discussing your opinion with others is not called bitching and according to me discussing your opinion is far better than backstabbing your friends."

Viveik adds, "They know that she is playing a fair game. Everyone says that she is biased towards Armaan but I have myself seen that whenever Armaan was wrong Tanisha pointed out his faults."

The Yoga instructor-cum-actor also shared about Kushal-Gauahar's love story. He says, "Something is definitely cooking between Gauahar-Kushal but I don't know if it is for real. If not love story there is definitely a lust story between them," concludes Viveik.

When asked about his Bigg Boss experience, he said, "I had a mind blowing experience inside the Bigg Boss house. And I am glad that I am the same, I have not lost sanity. I enjoyed every bit of my stay and if given a chance I would love to come back," concludes Viveik.

'Pakistanis have made valuable contribution to Bollywood'

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has supported the presence of Pakistani artistes in the Indian entertainment industry saying that they have brought diversity.

"From their powerful dialogue delivery to incredible music talent, Pakistanis have made valuable contribution to Bollywood. Some of the most memorable songs of Bollywood have been sung by Pakistani artistes and the opportunities to work together will be endless," Akshay said.

In the interview to a newspaper, the 46-year-old actor, whose latest film "Boss" hit theatres last week, also said that Pakistan's top comedian, Umar Shareef has been a constant source of learning and inspiration for him.

"I have watched Umar Sharif since I entered the industry over 20 years ago and he is one of the best comedians of all time. What I love most about him is his comic timing and delivery," said Akshay.

"You can be the funniest man on paper but unless you have got the timing right, your joke will be lost. Mr Umer Sharif, I salute your gift," he added.

Akshay has over 100 films to his credit and portrayed some larger-than-life, action packed and farcical roles in his career.

"My secret is that I never act my age. I may be in my 40s but my heroines are usually in their 20s," he said.

Akshay said he always liked to have a good chemistry with his co-stars. "I don't act like a superstar. The minute there is an inferiority complex between two actors, it becomes very uncomfortable to watch."

The actor said the he supports the recent trend in Bollywood to remake South India-inspired films, saying, "Hats off to South Indian films! They have the content that the world enjoys; it is an honour for me to recreate their magic."

Akshay also said he is happy to see that Pakistani cinema is growing again and hopes that it will keep thriving.

"No matter how great anyone is, there is always room for improvement. Filmmakers should keep experimenting with new techniques and never feel afraid of going back to film school," he said.

Jiah Khan suicide case: High Court orders fresh probe

Bombay High court has ordered fresh probe into Bollywood actress Jiah Khan's suicide case on October.

The court has ordered further investigation into the suicide case of the late actress .

Earlier this month, Jiah Khan's mother Rabbiya Khan had filed a petition in the Bombay High Court alleging that her daughter was murdered and had demanded a CBI probe into the death. The petition was filed on October 1.

Jiah's mother Rabbiya Amin has alleged that it has come to light that her daughter may have been killed and made to look as if she committed suicide.

To support her argument, Rabbiya has annexed to the petition an independent forensic expert's report which indicates the case to be homicidal death rather than suicide.

Alleging shoddy investigations by police to help Jiah's boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi, the petition demands a CBI probe into the murder.

The petitioner said that she had strong reasons to suspect that the probe was carried out by police in a manner which made the death look like a suicide.

She alleged that Sooraj is the son of actor Aditya Pancholi and the family had used their clout to "manage" police.

The petition alleges that Jiah may have been hanged after being killed. It cites some reasons to support this theory.

The petition says that a person who commits suicide would have his or her eyes popping and tongue protruding out, while in the case of Jiah it was not so. Also, in such cases lung or brain hemorrhage is generally noticed, but in this case this was not observed.

The petition says that besides ligature marks that occur in death due to hanging, injury marks were noticed on Jiah\'s face and body. An injury was noticed on the right side of her lips and a mark on her left arm suggested as if someone had held her tightly.

While police claimed that Jiah had hanged herself with a muslin 'dupatta', forensic expert Dr R N Jerajani opined that the depth of ligature marks in Jiah's case was difficult to achieve with a soft material.

Jerajani has further opined that the ligature marks on Jiah's neck are not like the ones usually found on the body of a person who hangs self from a ceiling fan. The possibility of strangulation is not ruled out in this case, he said in the forensic report.

The petition further said that CCTV camera footage showed that Jiah had entered her house a few minutes before she committed suicide. At that time, she was wearing a track suit but her body was discovered in a night gown. Would a person about to commit suicide change her dress, the petition asks?

It further said that the ceiling fan was located in between two single beds and it was not possible for Jiah to hang herself without a stool and there was no stool in her house.

There is a window in Jiah's room at a low level in the first-floor flat. This window was found open although air-condition machine was on at the time of the incident, the petition said, adding that the window could have been used to gain entry into the room.

On June 3, Jiah was found hanging from her ceiling fan in the house. A week later, Suraj was arrested. He was released from jail on July 2 after the Bombay High Court granted him bail.

Written By Unknown on Selasa, 22 Oktober 2013 | 21.44

Actor Anil Kapoor, who underwent rigorous physical training for his debut production "24", says he took tips from Hollywood actor Tom Cruise especially for the sequences that required him to run.

"To be honest with you, yes, (I took tips from Tom Cruise). When he came here (to India) I spent quite some time with him. Since then definitely we are in touch. For physical training, I have learnt a lot from him," Anil told reporters here at the launch of the game on "24".

"I was speaking to him when he was training for " Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol" and then I came to know how he had trained for that film. So I took a lot of tips from him. If you see the way Tom Cruise runs, I too had a lot of running shots in '24'," he added.

Cruise and Anil shared the screen together in 'Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol". Since then the two developed a friendly bond. Later, Anil also threw a party when Cruise visited India in 2011 for the promotion of his film (MI-4).

Talking about the special tip he got from Cruise, Anil said: "He (Cruise) told me, 'if you want to do the running shots very well, you need to train your legs."

"He has a special treadmill for that. In the same way, the running shots of mine that you (reporters) see in the show, I have trained my legs for that," added the 53-year-old.

Directed by Abhinay Deo, "24" airs on Colors channel. In the show, Anil plays the lead role of Jai Singh Rathod, the chief of an anti-terrorist unit.

Shilpa Agnihotri opens up about the rave party incident

Says she was on medicines to help her start a family, when she tested positive for the drugs

Shilpa Agnihotri, the latest evictee from Bigg Boss 7, opens up about the rave party incident in which she and husband Apurva Agnihotri tested positive for drugs. She says she was on injections to help her conceive when the tests were done.

"My husband and I went to a five star hotel around 6 pm that fateful day and in 20 minutes, there was a raid. We were segregated into boys and girls and taken to hospital for blood tests. After a month, they declared that Apurva and I had tested positive for drugs. At that time, we were trying for a family and I was on injections for that. It is a very unfortunate thing that you cannot fight law in this country. What I want to ask the police is that, were 97 out of 100 people doing drugs at 6 pm in the evening? We were made the face of party and it didn't matter that people like Rocky S, Angad Bedi and many models were also there," Shilpa said.

There have been a lot of instances in the Bigg Boss house that have made Armaan lash out on other housemates.

Well here's a surprise for all Khan fans (Salman, Shahrukh and Aamir). On the occasion of Bakra Eid on Wednesday, (October 16, 2013), goat sellers in the city named their goats after Bollywood's superstars - the three Khans!

According to a report in Hindustan Times, these good looking, muscular and tall animals have been selling like hot cakes for a hefty amount. Coming from Bulandshahar, Salman and SRK named goats were apparently the highest selling.

Further to the reports in Hindustan Times, the price range for these sacrificial animals can cost between 15, 000 to 5, 00000. Last year, it was the Nawab of Pataudi Saif Ali Khan and his begum Kareena Kapoor who were hot property. The Saifeena goats (named after the power couple) apparently sold for four lakhs at Jama Masjid.

Goat sellers even claimed that naming their animals after Bollywood stars is an age old tradition where the goats are decorated with anklets and colorful leashes.

SRK's snoring gave Salman Khan sleepless nights

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan leaves no opportunity to make fun of his rival Shah Rukh Khan. In a recent episode of 'Bigg Boss 7', Salman revealed that Shah Rukh snores loudly. While the readers might find it funny, we just hope that it does not lead to another war of words between the two Khans. Let's see what happened...

While talking to Bigg Boss contestants about who snores the loudest, Salman revealed about SRK's snoring habit. He recalled an incident when both SRK and him were shooting for Karan Arjun in 1995, and both of them were sharing a room with Sohail Khan and Bunty Walia. While they all tried to sleep, Shah Rukh was snoring so loudly that it woke them all up. Salman said that while initially they found it amusing, they had to push him off the bed to stop his snores.

We wonder what King Khan has to say about the same.

Kushal and Vivek get into a fight on Bigg Boss

It's been almost a month in the Bigg Boss House but the fight over household work seems to be endless within the inmates.

While a few of them act responsible and take an initiative towards the maintenance of the house, the rest just find a reason to shed work every time. After Apurva was elected to be Captain this week, he made sure that he divides all the responsibility amongst the housemates to make this process smooth.

However, Armaan is not happy with Apurva's decision and thinks that the housemates are dumping work on him all the time. He feels that when Kushal is supposed to do the cleaning of the kitchen area, he is refraining from doing his share of work and nobody is noticing this. He expresses his displeasure to Tanisha and tells Tanisha that he will not contribute to any household work till Apurva streamlines this process.

On the other hand, Vivek and Kushal get into a fight when Vivek tells Kushal to be little more careful while washing utensils and prevent the sink from getting water clogged. When Vivek is having this conversation, Kushal starts laughing as Pratyusha, Kamya and Andy giggle listening to him.

Vivek warns Kushal not to make fun of him and to start taking things seriously. Pratyusha sprang to Kushal's defense saying that they have been working and doing all this work even before he came into the house. Kushal then lashed out and got into a verbal spat when Vivek encroached into his personal space while other housemates try to control this situation.

Aditya Chopra driving a wedge between Sushant and Abhishek?

Filmmakers in Bollywood are more possessive about their proteges than they are about their girlfriends. Industry reports indicate that such a scene is being played out between Abhishek Kapoor and Aditya Chopra over Sushant Singh Rajput.
Abhishek gave Sushant a break in Kai Po Che and then signed him for Fitoor opposite Katrina Kaif. When Ekta Kapoor stepped in to finance the project, Abhishek reportedly recommended that she pay a newbie like Sushant `4 crore. She obviously disagreed. In short, Abhishek did everything to promote his protege.
Now, we hear that Adi, who worked with Sushant in Shuddh Desi Romance and has signed him on for Shekhar Kapur's Paani, is starting to get possessive about SSR. And, as is the case with the big daddies of cinema, he is demanding. Of course, all the parties concerned continue to pretend that there is no stress. But one hears from the trade that as Adi's dependence on Sushant increases, the young actor is finding it hard to maintain a balance between his two godfathers.

According to a statement released by Sushant's official spokesperson, the actor opted out of Fitoor because it now clashes with Paani's schedule. This whole Adi-Abhishek war over Sushant sounds like the script of a Bollywood bestseller, na? That too original and not a south remake.

'Shahid got hurt many times while shooting R…Rajkumar'

While the promo of R... Rajkumar has created initial interest in this Shahid Kapoor-Sonakshi Sinha film, the audience can now look forward to watching the hero in a different avatar. Sporting a tanned rugged look, the actor has gone all out to get under the skin of the character.

"It was extremely challenging, but very exciting to work with some of the best in the industry. A lot of hard work went into this film and I can't wait to see how the audiences will react to it," says Shahid.

He trained hard to perform death-defying and hand combat stunts, including a 40-men attack action sequence. Says director Prabhu Dheva, "Shahid has not just given his heart and soul, but also his blood and sweat, literally, since he got hurt so many times right through the film's shoot. He put total faith in my direction, surrendered to my vision and gave the film his all."
Designer Kunal Rawal was roped in to style the actor to match his unkempt style and make him seem every bit like Rajkumar. No wonder, then, producers Viki Rajani and Sunil Lulla feel he was the best choice for the role. "He represents the entire package — good looks, great dancing skills and a powerhouse actor. The film will be a treat for his fans," says Rajani.
R... Rajkumar, produced by Eros International and NextGen Films, releases December 6.

When Dilip Kumar got acting offer at a fruit shop

Dilip Kumar takes part at a special broadcast of BBC Indian Service during his visit to London in April 1953. Born to a dry fruit merchant in December 11,1922, Yusuf Khan started his career as a manager at Bombay Army Canteen. But fate had other plans for him.

A chance encounter with Devika Rani of Bombay Talkies landed this shy and debonair young man in Tinsel Town. Of this Ashok Raj in his book Hero wrote: The Silent Era to Dilip Kumar says: "Devika Rani had gone out for shopping to a local market. At one fruit shop, she looked keenly at the young man engrossed at selling his merchandise. It was by mere chance that the shy shopkeeper had only replaced his father that day. Devika Rani found this young man with a sensitive face and expressive eyes quite unusual. She gave him her visiting card and asked him to meet her at the studio."

Bombay Talkies not only changed his destiny but also his name -- Yusuf Khan became Dilip Kumar and made his debut in Tinsel Town with Jwar Bhata (1944).

It has been 70 long years since Yusuf was 'spotted' and today he is considered as the 'first modern Indian actor' who freed himself from the theatrical mannerisms and developed a more natural and distinctive style, which stressed on silent pauses and hand gestures and films like Andaz, Jogan, Daag, Baabul, Aan, Daag, Foot Path, Madhumati, Devdas, Naya Daur and Ganga Jumna stand testimony to his versatility.

Vir Das kicked about first solo venture as actor

Actor-comedian Vir Das is gung-ho about Sooper Se Ooper, directed by Kitoo Ghosh, as it marks his first solo venture as an actor.

"The audience is accustomed to watching me do quirky comedy, but in this film, the comedy is situational. It is reactive rather than active and that is what sets it apart," explains Vir.

He adds, "My character Ranvir is a Rajput and is hunting for his only relative, his uncle, played by Gulshan Grover, as there is a land-grabbing issue. This uncle has shunned civilisation and is living in isolation, so I go looking for him. This leads to crazy situations."

The film, which also features Kirti Kulhari, Deepak Dobriyal and Yashpal Sharma, was shot in some remote locations in Rajasthan in May when the heat is at its peak. Vir recalls, "There were power cuts after eight in the night and we had to grin and bear it. What's interesting, however, is that Gulshan has donned nothing but a loincloth!"

Sooper Se Ooper produced by Jigsaw Pictures, releases October 25.

Was Dimple Kapadia married to Sunny Deol?

Bollywood's He-man Dharmendra's elder son and the action star of masses Sunny Deol has turned a year older today.

Born as Ajay Singh Deol, Sunny made his debut as a teenage romantic hero in Betaab but soon films like Arjun, Dacait, Yateem, Tridev and later the blockbusters Ghayal, Ghatak and Gadar: Ek Prem Katha established him as the action hero in Bollywood.

In fact his aura was so intense that after Amitabh Bachchan, he was hailed as the 'new angry young man' of Bollywood. Sunny perfectly played the role of a frustrated and angry unemployed youth and established his roots in the industry. Even before Salman Khan, it was Sunny Deol who mesmerized the audience with his bare-chested, bulging biceps while reminding us about Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Scwarzenegger.

However despite dhai kilo ke hathodawale haat, gorgeous actresses Amrita Singh, Dimple Kapadia and Raveena Tandon made the action king go weak at the knees. Despite married to Pooja Deol, Sunny allowed his reel affairs to spill out to real life. Even Amrita Singh was often heard saying that the only 'real man' in her life was Sunny Deol. Unfortunately, she had no idea then about Sunny's hidden relationship.

After the revelation of Sunny's married life, Amrita moved on and soon Sunny's relationship with Dimple Kapadia started making the rounds. Reports were rife that Sunny Deol had even given Dimple Kapadia the status of a wife, while still having a wife at home! Even though Sunny and Dimple fiercely guarded their personal lives, their involvement was evident.

However, after over 11 years of a long-lasting affair with Dimple, Sunny couldn't help but lend it to the beautiful and vulnerable Raveena Tandon, who was suffering from a nervous breakdown. On the sets of Ziddi, they became "good friends", immediately threatening the position of an already-dethroned wife, Pooja Deol, and the past reigning girlfriend Dimple. This acted as a catalyst in the husband-wife relationship, as Pooja decided that enough was enough.

Ups and downs have been remained part and parcel of Sunny's life. During his peak days in Bollywood, Sunny Deol suffered a chronic back problem. For many years, he has quietly and not so quietly been suffering from the problem. On many occasions in his career, he has been laid off because of his back yet his undying spirit and invincibility (as his real name suggests) is intact both in real and reel life.

In spite of lukewarm response to his last release Yamla Pagla Deewana 2, Sunny's 'sunny' spell at the box-office is still continued and the action king is ready to roar again with Bhaiyyaji Superhitt, Singh Sahab The Great and Ghayal Returns.

Sunil Shetty turns saviour for security guard's girl

Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty has grabbed headlines in the media for funding the treatment of his Nepalese security guard's ailing 12-year-old daughter.

Shetty arranged all the funds required for treating Lila, the daughter of Krisna, a security guard at his house.

The girl, from remote Badai village in Dandeldhura district of western Nepal, was in a serious condition with brain-related problems before her treatment began at a private hospital in Mumbai on October 12.

After an initial assessment, the doctors estimated that the girl's entire treatment will cost a huge sum, impossible for the family to arrange.

Since Krisna joined the job recently, he did not have the courage to ask Shetty for help. The actor took note of the sad face of his employee and on learning about his problem, Shetty reportedly told Krisna: "Start the child's treatment, whether it takes, one lakh or ten lakh, I shall bear the expenses."

Shetty has also enquired about the health of the girl from time to time.

Lila is the youngest among three sisters in the family. She has now started talking as her condition improves slowly, family sources said.

The Bachchans buy anti-dengue machines

Written By Unknown on Jumat, 18 Oktober 2013 | 21.44

The dengue menace has put Bollywood on guard as well.

While some stars like Anil Kapoor have categorically informed their staff to get rid of dry bouquets and keep the gardens well-maintained, a source says that others like the Bachchans have gone a step further.

They have investigated and found that there is a new gadget in the market that works effectively against dengue-causing mosquitoes. These machines come at a high cost, but the Bachchans — who have five bungalows in Juhu — have ordered them.

Like they say, prevention is better than cure.

I make films for Indian audiences, not Oscars: Mahesh Bhatt

Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt doesn't digress but drives the point straight home when quizzed about the Indian film industry not churning out Oscar-worthy movies. The noted director-writer-producer flatly says such awards are nothing more than marketing tools that fetch money.

For Bhatt prefers to make films for India's cinemagoers and not for honours.

"I think they are just marketing tools ...yes, they make for large money, that's about all. But a choice has to be made whether you want to make films for the people of India or the Oscars. I chose the people of India," Bhatt told IANS in an interview.

Having contributed to Bollywood for around four decades, the illustrious moviemaker is known for landmark films like " Arth", " Saaransh", " Zakhm" and "Sadak" and for writing the story and screenplay of popular erotic noir films like "Jism" and "Jism 2".

One example of his choosing audience satisfaction over awards is "Aashiqui 2", his recent hit as a producer.

The ace filmmaker had directed the cult romantic musical drama "Aashiqui" in 1990 and reinvented the genre this year by producing "Aashiqui 2".

The film collected over Rs 20 crore in its opening weekend (released Apr 26) and in a month's time crossed the Rs. 100-crore mark. Despite opening to mixed reviews by critics, it garnered widespread audience appreciation.

However, the 65-year-old debunked the myth that Indian cinema has made its mark worldwide. Marketing strategy and everything else included, Bhatt pointed out the industry is yet to zoom in on the magic formula to hit the bulls' eye.

"We do not have that recipe yet. Contrary to what we claim, the western world is not remotely interested in our cinema," said the National Award winner.

Besides, the real deal, according to him, is to get the West going for Indian films "on our own terms".

"But we have our own people loving our films and that's enough. But, yes, we would be happy if they (west) like our films on our terms, not their terms."

Mentor to many (including director Anurag Basu, Milan Luthria and nephew and actor Emraan Hashmi), the veteran has dabbled successfully in both art films and mainstream films including erotic noir cinema, thrillers, comedies and action.

But he chooses not to offer counsel to budding filmmakers. Bhatt advocates learning the nuances of the craft through experience instead of banking on advice.

"I would not advise young filmmakers or burden them with my advice because I did not learn anything from advices given to me when I was beginning my career. I saw people's films, read about them, but I did my own thing."

"Movie business is like swimming. You learn swimming by swimming and filmmaking by filmmaking. Let them make their films and I think they will find their own way. Its asserting their way..that's what filmmaking is all about," he explained.

Mahesh Bhatt believes in taking kickbacks from his protégés

Mahesh Bhatt believes in taking kickbacks from his proteges

Iconic filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt has introduced a lot of talent to cinema. And, as is an accepted norm, in the guru-shishya tradition, Bhatt Saab ensures that every protege gives him guru-dakshina throughout his life.

With a mischievous smile, he tells us that this is a "kickback'' he thoroughly enjoys taking. His nephew Emraan Hashmi gives him a mobile phone every time. Though the filmmaker takes it, he makes it a point to distribute the phones among his staff and he faithfully continues to use his old instrument.

Anupam Kher, whose career turned around with Saaransh (1984), started with giving his guru a VHS cassette of a Hollywood movie whenever he signed a new film. The amount set for this purchase was 300.

At one point, Bhatt Saab realised that Anupam had started concealing from him the number of films he'd signed, because he would have to pay a kickback each time. And he caught him.

Recently, Anupam's acting institute was given an award by a Canadian channel and he invited Bhatt Saab to speak. The filmmaker played to the Brahmin in him and said, "If you don't give me what I ask for, I will give you a shraap (curse) and that will bring you to ground zero."

He asked for 3000, which of course Anupam bargained on, but finally he managed to extract 5000. Speaking to us, Bhatt Saab said, "Now his boys write Bhatt Saab on an envelope and give it, but earlier his Dattu (Anupam's spot boy) would just hand over the cash to me. It's the greatest joy to take money from him."

Gulshan Grover has been giving his guru two books, which the filmmaker himself chooses on each trip to the US. He also brings him a particular medicine that is available in America only.

As for Mohit Suri, post Aashiqui 2, he presented his mentor with a touch-screen laptop. And, Bhatt Saab has made it clear to Mohit that he has to continue giving him 'the kickbacks he desires'.
