Alakshmi- Hamari Super Bahu
The makers (Hat's Off Productions') and fans of Life OK's Alakshmi- Hamari Super Bahu will now have a reason to rejoice as the show which was earlier tipped to end on 21 October 2012, has managed to get an extension.
Alakshmi has got an extension of three months. However, the twist in the tale is that the show which was aired daily will now only be telecast on weekend between 7 to 8 pm.
Sources close to the show informs that in the last few months, the TRPs of both the shows, Alaskhmi and Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki has not been that great and that prompted the channel, Life OK, to pull the plug on the shows. But the Production house of Alakshmi (Hat's Off) was not happy with the channel's decision as the show is barely 4 months old.
According to some reliable sources in a meeting held recently, the Production house explained the channel that they should at least be given a chance to recover the money that has gone into the making of Alakshmi. And also it would be unfair to off air a show in just four months. The channel finally agreed to retain the show but on a condition that it will be aired only on weekends for one hour for next two months. We also hear that if in the future Alakshmi garners good numbers in the new time slot then it will continue airing but for the time being it has got three months extension.
When contacted, Helly Shah who plays Alakshmi, said, "Yes, our show has got an extension of three months but I can't comment on anything else."
