Phas Gaye Re Obama was released in 2010 and is a Bollywood satire that was directed by Subhash Kapoor. The sequel is titled Bach Gaye Re Obama and seems pretty apt considering Obama's successful round of debates that gave the Democratic Party an edge over the Republicans.
"Yes, we have planned a sequel and this time it will be a movie which showcases situations after recession," said producer Ashok Pandey.
So, is the recent Obama's victory the reason for your motivation? "We had planned a sequel before, but we waited for Obama's success and we were confident about it," answered the producer.
On being asked about the star cast, Ashok said, "We will retain most of the actors from Phas Gaye Re Obama and we are also trying to get well known faces for the sequel."
"The shooting will start next year and will release by 2014," concluded the producer.
