Pooja Gor who played the perfect bahu in 'Mann Ki Aawaz...Pratigya' is nostalgic that the show ended recently but confessed to being happy that she was part of such a successful soap. In town to promote, her new show, 'The Serial', this Amdavadi exuded easy charm and made a pretty picture in a peach blouson teamed with white cotton pants.

In her last soap outing, Pooja had sported a traditional look in sarees. Pooja admits that it was getting "monotonous to keep wearing sarees throughout the show. Daily soaps mean tedious shooting schedules and it gets physically exhausting. It was about time that I showed my fans that I too, have a different side. I have anchored film award shows and done Comedy Circus, but I needed to prove my versatility as an actor. It is important for my professional growth." She adds, "When I heard about this concept a year back, it sounded a little different. I had no time then. But a few months ago, everything fell in place. The story is shown through the eyes of a 17-year old boy. We have taken inspiration from real life instances as well."

Commenting on the logistics and the way the TV industry functions, Pooja mentions how everything that on TV depends on TRPs. She says, "The industry is taking it easy right now because TRPs are not being taken in consideration for another two weeks, so production houses can experiment with the screenplay every week." Pooja, who also turned anchor for Laakhon Mein Ek, says, "Being an anchor is tough, because you have to be sharp and responsive. I am glad I did a show like this. I did an episode on Gulabi Gang leader Sampat Pal and I think she is the real-life 'Pratigya'."

Pooja, who has never been too vocal about her relationship with actor Raj Singh Arora confesses that she has never hidden it either. She says, "People speculate about actors' personal lives anyway. While urban India has opened up to dating/live -in relationships, most people are still not broad minded to accept them. However, I don't believe in flaunting my relationship." Pooja who's missing her parents and home (in Ahmedabad) is planning to take a break after this show. She says, "I miss my brother. I will take him with me after he finishes school so that we can be together," she says on a parting note.
