A fitness enthusiast, the actress felt it was just the right platform to encourage sports and support all the eight teams of the league.
"I love sports and feel honoured to be a part of this," she said at a press conference held at a surburban hotel. The actress added, "I know it's going to be a lot of fun like a reality show. There is going to be a lot of drama and actors are dramatic and it is all going to be on the field," she laughed.
Bipasha even displayed her characteristic sense of humour when asked what fitness tips she would share with the team members. Her retort was, "I don't think men in India like to take fitness tips from women." She further added, "Cricket and entertainment are religions for the people of our country and it's a perfect combination to be associated with."
The cricketing event will be broadcast on eight channels of Star Network and in eight different languages across India while the curtain raiser to be held on January 19 will be aired on Star Plus and all the Bollywood team (Mumbai Heroes) matches will be telecast on Star Gold.
K Madhavan enthused, "Another star joins the team. It's a great product to be associated with." Vishnuvardhan Induri. MD and founder, CCL added, "CCL III is going to be a pan-India property as we have teams from across the country participating this year and Star Network will help us reach more audiences across the nation compared to earlier seasons."
