Media has married me to Harbhajan several times: Geeta

Actress Geeta Basra, who has been linked with cricketer Harbhajan Singh, says the reports about the two tying the knot have gone way out of hand. "The media has married me off to him 5-6 times. I have never denied that we are good friends, but I don't want to comment any further on any speculation about us," she says.

On the professional front, Geeta, who was on a hiatus post her films The Train and Dil Diya Hai, will be seen in Zilla Ghaziabad. She is doing an item number in the Sanjay Dutt-Vivek Oberoi starrer.

The song, says Geeta, is an integral part of the film. "It goes with the plot of the film. Both Vivek and Arshad Warsi are featured in the song, but while we were on the sets, I requested Sanjay to groove with us as well. He agreed and shook a leg with us," she shares.

"But I'm not sure if that part will be used in the final cut. We did it for fun," she adds. The film has been delayed but she says she doesn't know much about that aspect. "It's a part and parcel of the industry. So many films get delayed," she says.

So is she open to doing more item numbers? "Latkas-jhatkas, chiffon saris, are part of the Hindi, south and north film industries. I will be selective with the set-up of course," she says.

The actor has also been finalised for the sequel to Dus. "I took a break because after The Train, I started getting the same scripts, stories and characters. I h ave age on my side hence I could afford to be choosy. Unfortunately, The Train didn't do well, but I got noticed," she says.
