Actor-producer Sohum Shah's debut film, 'Ship Of Theseus', has been doing the rounds of various film festivals and has been getting a lot of critical acclaim. At the recently concluded Dubai International Film Festival, Aida Elkashef's portrayal of a blind photographer in the film won her the Best Actress Award.

Sohum is ecstatic with the praises coming his way. "Our film has been noticed for its writing, cinematography and quality of acting. It's a proud moment for all of us," he says. On sharing screen space with other actors, Sohum says, "I don't think it's healthy to get intimidated by the craftsmanship of your co-stars. You can learn from them, you can envy them, but you can't be jealous of them. Anyway, I don't like the idea of making a film just to highlight someone's artistry. A film should be made because it needs to be made. Everything else should be a by-product of this exercise, not the main focus. I was fortunate enough to work with this highly skilled team. I will continue work with the best artistes," says the filmmaker.
