Boman asserts that Jolly LLB is not just a comedy film and he has done his research on different lawyers. "I have followed many lawyers. In fact, my son's father-in-law is a lawyer and I have taken lot of notes from him," said Boman.
On being asked whether he had any personal experiences in the court, he said, "I believe that family matters should not go to court. Why to spend money and ruin relationships. Courtrooms are for people who are not getting justice. For quarrels, one should not go to courtroom."
When asked about his opinion on the judicial system in India, he claimed, "There is lot of change because of public outrage. Nothing happens without public participation and we are irresponsible Indians. When we become responsible we can expect the government to become responsible."
Citing the examples of Afzal Guru and Ajmal Kasab, who were hanged while the public was kept in the dark came as a surprise to all and talking about the issue Boman elaborated, "Timing is of more important than the hush-hush way that they conducted things. If I am releasing a movie, I will either promote the movie after it's released or one year before but will time the promotion accordingly. One should not do things for any political mileage."
"Everything in this country has been politicised and what has Vishwaroopam got to do with politics? As a public, we need to be responsible and people need to get the government to perform. Government should know that if it's not performing, it won't be there," concluded Boman.
