Hema Malini reportedly stumped a filmmaker when she recently asked for 1 crore as her remuneration, for playing a mother to a Bollywood superstar.

The filmmaker admits he approached Hemaji because he is a huge fan of her and thinks she rightfully deserves the Bollywood Dream Girl title. And he would have been happy to pay her a decent price.

However, the one-crore bit stumped him. Instead, the producers got a more reasonable and seasoned actress of the 1980s to step in.
