DAY 1: Jawaharlal Nehru Cricket Stadium, Kochi
The first match saw the debutants — Bhojpuri Dabbangs edge defending champions Chennai Rhinos in a penultimate-ball clincher that sent the crowd into a frenzy. The high-scoring match was a rollercoaster with both teams holding the advantage at different times, but Dabangg's Aditya Ojha held on till the end to see his team through in an absolute nerve-wracker. However, the match only served as a warm up for the fans, who were gearing up for the heated battle between the Lissy Priyadarshan co-owned home team — Amma's Kerala Strikers — and the Sohail Khan-owned star-spangled Mumbai Heroes. With both teams receiving a standing ovation, the crowd was on its feet most of time applauding their favourite superstars like Mohanlal, Suniel Shetty and Bobby Deol, for every shot, wicket and dive that saved runs.
With a bevy of beautiful actresses including Heroes' brand ambassador Chitrangda Singh, Strikers' Mamta Mohandas and Bhavana, Dabangg's Paki Hegde and Urvashi Chaudhary and Rhino's Karthika and Sonia Aggarwal cheering the teams on, the event sizzled with star power. The Strikers versus Heroes match saw the home team recovering from 97 for 7 at one stage to chase down 136 posted by Mumbai with the help of scores from Aftab Shivadasini and Sunny Singh.
DAY 2: Kanchanchunga Cricket Stadium, Siliguri
The second day in Siliguri saw another full house with a massive turnout from the crowd and stars who were there to support fellow actors from the Bengali film industry. The loudest cheers were definitely reserved for Jeet and Dev. Riteish Deshmukh's team Veer Marathi made its debut against Karnataka Bulldozers. Even though they didn't win the match, they won the hearts of the people as Riteish did a lap around the stadium, waving and acknowledging the crowd. As usual, Genelia was at her cheerful best. Boney Kapoor was seen playing the host and was joined by Sridevi.
