Asked about it, Tigmanshu attributes it to being restricted by "our own culture." He explains, "Let me tell you that today's actors are a lot more evolved. Yet, even as a filmmaker, I can't blatantly show such intimate scenes. It becomes boring after a while. I find porn movies boring but I loved erotica. But my culture always stops me from showing too many of such sequences."
Further, the director says that he never ever uses abusive language. Yet, often, people point out that expletives are used very openly outside, so why can't we use them in movies too?
"Even today, I hide my cigarette when I see the elders of my family. Why? It is because we have been brought up that way. The elders of my family know I smoke, but I hide the cigarette from them out of my respect for them," he says, adding, "Similarly, it's the respect of my audience that stops me from showing too many of intimate, love-making scenes."
