Actor Vidyut Jammwal wants to prove that action does speak louder than words through his acting in films

Vidyut Jammwal, the new dude in tinsel town believes in following his heart, an advice which he gives to all small towners with big dreams. "I belong to Kanpur and have tried creating a space for myself in Mumbai, that was possible only because I believed in my dreams. It was like a battle field for me where I learned every day, without losing sight of my goal," says the handsome actor during his recent visit to Varanasi for the promotion of his film.

"I love breaking rules. I was asked by people to not begin my career in Bollywood with a negative role, but I followed my heart and the result was that for the first time in the history of Hindi cinema, an actor with a negative role was conferred with a best debut award," says he.

Vidyut, who vouches for action, is not worried about getting stereotyped. "This is what I want to do, I was born to do and I love to do. Action is an integral part of me and I will do action- romance, action-drama, whatever that involves action. In fact, I cannot think of cinema without action because I have been learning martial arts since I was three-years-old. I belong to a family who is into martial arts. I have films in hand because of my martial arts skills. I was so fascinated with action that I saw the Hollywood film Force nearly 27 times as a child! As far as acting goes, there is a myth that actors with big bodies can't act. But Van Damme and Sylvester Stallone prove that this is just a myth. As for me I will be seen in Tigmanshu Dhulia's Bullett Raja. I am part of the film because of my emoting skills and not just because of my action," he says.

While in Varanasi, Vidyut also demonstrated some action moves and gave self defence tips to women. "Women should also learn self-defence techniques, especially in the light of the gang-rape case in Delhi. An active mind can overpower even the toughest of bodies. So women should always be vigilant and react in a proper manner in any adverse situation. Women today are obsessed with getting slim but what is really important is to remain fit," he says in a lighter vein.
