She will be seen sporting different looks for a period film set in Mumbai, spanning four decades. We hear each decade demands a distinct look, which is the biggest challenge for the actor.
Since the film is set in the 1950s, 60s, 70s, it's also being said that the otherwise skinny Anushka will be made to look slightly fuller to fit into that era, when women weren't supermodel thin.
When contacted, designer Niharika Bhasin Khan said, "Yes, it's difficult to look different from the times you live in. We are undergoing a lot of dress rehearsals for Anushka at the moment. Given the era, her look will be a balance between her personality and the role requirement. A lot of research has gone into studying how the Maharashtrians and the Parsis of Mumbai dressed in the past."
