Four days after it was uploaded on a popular website, the trailer of 'Raanjhnaa', directed by Aanand L Rai, garnered over two million views. The movie stars Dhanush, Sonam Kapoor and Abhay Deol. While Sonam plays a girl-next-door, Dhanush portrays a rough and edgy local boy.
Says a source, "The characters of Sonam and Dhanush are real and their chemistry is pretty evident. Also, it's been a while since AR Rahman has scored music for a Hindi film. That has also been appreciated."
Director Rai enthuses, "This film is a product of great love and passion. We have worked really hard on it, so the accolades mean even more to us." Asked what his formula for a good film is, he replies, "There is no perfect formula. Every film is a journey where you search for the destination. I am glad that this search has been fruitful and the audience has found a connect with it."
Producer Krishika Lulla adds , "Such an unprecedented response has taken us by surprise. We are confident that the audience will embrace the film."
Raanjhnaa, produced by Eros International, releases June 21.
