No other person has inspired the number of celluloid portrayals that Dawood has

With his trademark moustache and sunglasses, Dawood Ibrahim, the doyen of Mumbai's underworld in the 80s and 90s, continues to fascinate Bollywood filmmakers.

In 2013 itself, three films have characters inspired by the gangster. There's Sonu Sood in Shootout At Wadala, Rishi Kapoor in D-Day and Akshay Kumar in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara.

While many of these films may not name Dawood, the characters' thick-set hairstyle, the drooping moustache and flamboyant body language make it easy to identify the stylish Mumbai don on screen.
