The recent buzz was that Bollywood actress Asin is a part of the project. Rumour mills were working overtime to celebrate the homecoming of Asin, whose last Mollywood outing was in 2001 in Sathyan Anthikad's Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka.
However, Big Picture's director P Balachandrakumar denies that Asin has been roped in for the film.
"We've not confirmed any actress yet for the film. We are still discussing with several leading actresses in Bollywood and I can tell you Asin has not been cast," he says.
Incidentally, the female lead will play the role of an actress in the film. The director had earlier told us that apart from Sreesanth and Prakash Raj, a Bollywood superstar will also be roped in for a cameo.
Our source from the production tells us that most of the cast has been finalised but the team is waiting for Sreesanth to clear the charges against him and get back his passport, after which they would announce the details.
Big Picture will be an entertainer shot in Dubai, London and Kerala, and if the makers are to be believed, it will not be based on cricket or Sreesanth's life.
