B-Town has gone through a refreshing change: Tom Alter

Tom Alter, who has acted in numerous Hindi films as well as regional ones, was in a jovial mood during his short visit to Vadodara to attend a school event. When someone asked him how a native of Uttarakhand ended up in Mumbai, doing so many Hindi films, he quipped, "Arre, main toh train se aaya tha, aur wo bhi bina ticket ke!" Later, he added, "I enjoy coming to Gujarat and it was great fun to work in the Gujarati film Kevi Rite Jaish. I really liked the attitude of the youngsters who were associated with the making of that film."

Just like the country and our society, our film industry has also changed a lot in the last few years, as evident in the immense technological advancement. One good thing is that we have left those days of typical 'rich girl, poor boy love story' far behind and some refreshing films are being made. But earlier, being on a film set gave you that feeling of being part of a larger family. That isn't the case now. But then, I think it's a mere reflection of how rapidly our society has changed.
