Is Ekta Kapoor miffed with Akshay Kumar?

Earlier reports had stated that Akshay Kumar had infuriated producer Farah Khan by allegedly not doing his bit to promote her film 'Joker', and now there are more rumours that Akshay Kumar has now irked another filmmaker, Ekta Kapoor.

Ekta Kapoor is allegedly miffed with Akshay Kumar for not promoting Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara. The report also states that she feels that has had a negative impact on its box-office collections. Considering that Shah Rukh Khan has gone out of his way to promote his movie Chennai Express, Ekta supposedly feels that Akshay has not done justice to film promotions. There are also rumours floating around that Ekta believes the star apparently gave up on the movie even before its release and started distancing himself. She is said to feel that Akshay was dejected by the way Chennai Express was steaming ahead towards the Rs 200 crore club and gave up without a fight.

However, the bone of contention here is, why would an actor deliberately sabotage his own film? Obviously, the story defies logic, and fans should take it with a pinch of salt. The Khiladi Kumar is a professional to the hilt. In fact, Ekta herself claims that there is nothing to such stories. And if proof is needed, we're sure that will be in the form of another sequel.
