Ranbir Kapoor gets Rs 15 crore for a cameo?

There is speculation galore over the exact nature of Ranbir Kapoor's expensive role in Roy.

According to sources, RK has some sort of an extended special appearance in the film, for which he has been paid Rs 15 crore, as we had reported. However, it is not that the makers are riding on his name without his permission. Ranbir has given them a green nod to use his stardom to sell the film.

A trade source told Mirror, "There is lot of confusion in the distribution circuit about the way the film has been projected. Ranbir's film today gets a high price but if it's a special appearance, then that has a different calculation. However Ranbir has no intention to misguide anyone and has been upfront about telling his friends that his role in Roy is a special appearance, and Arjun Rampal is the protagonist. " Not surprisingly, director Vicky Singh vehemently denied the story.
