Shah Rukh and Rohit Shetty to team up for a Marathi film?

Shah Rukh Khan and director Rohit Shetty might team up for a Marathi film together. Rohit, who has a "Marathi subject in mind" has discussed it with SRK already.

"Rohit ke paas kucch subject hai. So he was saying that we should make a Marathi film together. And I want to produce one soon," said Shah Rukh.

Post the success of their recent film, it would be great to see the hit jodi come together for a regional film. Though SRK is keen on producing one, we might not see him in a full fledged role. "As an actor, I may not be able to participate as I don't know the language. Maybe, given a chance, I will do a guest appearance or something. But as a film person I can make it a little better by giving it as much importance as Hindi films," he added.

Shah Rukh feels that producing Marathi films will be a lot easier because they are not as expensive as their Bollywood counterparts. "We can afford them and market them better," he added. Though he doesn't have much knowledge about the Marathi film industry, he knows a few actors here.

"I know a lot of people involved in Marathi films and I would like to participate in some way or the other. It will be good as regional cinema is very important for the state. It has to go side by side with Bollywood. It is important that I do something about it soon," he said.
