But he got talking about the capital and told us, "I have grown up in Delhi and I miss the city a lot after having shifted to Mumbai. My favourite hangout place used to be Khan Market, where I would go to my favourite bookshop, read my favourite books and sip on hot chocolate."
How different is it acting on screen from acting in front of a live audience on stage? "Acting on screen and in theatre are different mediums altogether. Theatre is a stage where an actor's raw form of acting is showcased, and in front of the camera is a different thing and feeling altogether. They can't be compared. The skills that are required are different and as an actor, in a way, it becomes difficult to adjust to these different mediums. Personally, I prefer both. The camera is a director's medium, and also, the experience and exposure an actor gets when he is on camera are greater," says Namit.
And what's his experience of the Delhi audience? "The Delhi audience is knowledgeable, intelligent and well-versed with theatre, with NSD being there. The Delhi audience knows what they are coming for, they know theatre as a form very well," he says. We second that!
