Gujarat surely seems to be the hot destination for Bollywood these days. With movies like D-day, Kai Po Che, Grand Masti and many more recently been shot in the state, Gujarat is fast becoming current flavor for B-Town.

But even more so, it's the serene yet captivating landscape of the Rann of Kutch that has caught the fancy of filmmakers in the recent times. And with as many as four movies like Ramleela, R Rajkumar, Gori Tere Pyar Mein and The Good Road splashing the white beauty on the big screen. And with The Good Road being selected as the official entry into the Oscars, Kutch now seems to be going international.

Just as Big B became the brand ambassador for Gujarat tourism, the state's popularity increased manifold, and now with so many films showing the beautiful landscape on the big screen, its only going get bigger and better.

The Good Road
This controversy stricken film which is the official entry to the Oscars from India this year, The Good Road has taken Gujarati film industry directly to the international platform. There might be protests against the film accusing it of showing the state in bad light, The Good Road has brought Kutch a lot of attention from many a corners of the country.

Rambo Rajkumar
Prabhudheva sure knows the trick to stay put in the 100 crore club. Whatever he has touched has turned to gold. And this time, as he ventures inside the Rann, we are hoping he will turn the white sands into a golden cinematic run at the BO. And with the first time pair of Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha, (the latter is Prabhu's lucky charm), it sure looks interesting.

Ram Leela
SLB ( Sanjay Leela Bhansali) seems to have taken the baton in his hands to make Gujarat a hot spot for tourists. His Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam brought Gujarat and its culture on a national canvas, and now he is ready to recreate the magic with Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. This cinematographic genius is sure to put a breathtaking view on his canvas.

Gori Tere Pyar Mein
A contemporary love story also shot in a Kutchi village. Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor created magic on screen in Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, and they are back again with another heartwarming love story. While the boy chases the girl into a village, the film promises to put Kutch in Bollywood's map firmly.

Kutch magic Refugee: Probably the first ever film to bring the Rann of Kutch into focus Dookudu: Not just Bollywood, even the southern superstars visited the Rann to capture the beauty
Magadheera: Ram Charan Tej's Magadheera was a huge BO success that took Kutch across southern India
Lagaan: Yet another internationally acclaimed film this one took the Rann across international borders
