Our partners, with their digital expertise, will give us the technical support." Adds Akhtar, "We've sought to create contemporary cinema in India by striving to understand what audience wants today. Now we are excited to enter the world of gaming and animation."
They will also be unveiling the first adventure/action game titled 'Fukrey: Rooftop Runner' today, which is based on their film 'Fukrey'. The game will depict the misadventures of four slackers willing to get their hands on big money to achieve their dreams. Keeping the irreverent and quirky tone of the movie, the objective as a player is to collect as many Rupex as possible.
The game is available on smartphones and tablets and will soon be available on prominent social networking sites. They will also give a sneak preview of another soon to be released original title called Feed The Sparrows, which has been conceptualised by Farhan. Says Riva Group Chairman Paul Roy, "We're excited with this collaboration. We look forward to working with them and using our in-house knowledge and expertise to create ground-breaking content."
Fukrey, which is a free game, targets advanced endless runner players by offering them new challenges and progressive difficulty. The further Hunny (one of the characters from the film) manages to run, the more difficult the level patterns become, testing the player's dexterity.
