A source close to the actor says, "Neil made an unconventional debut and has chosen to do roles that are out-of-the-box. He has always maintained that while box-office success is important, it is equally important that he be able to carve a niche for himself. He doesn't believe in going over-the-top while preparing for his roles and his co-star shares this view."
Since both come from the same school of thought, Neil is enjoying shooting with Richa. The two are often spotted improvising on their scenes in between shots and this has led to them shooting some of the acts in a completely different manner from the original version.
