‘I hope Krrish 3 breaks Chennai Express records’

Bollywood actor Arif Zakaria, who has worked with the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Sunny Leone and Ranveer Singh, is happy about the response his latest film 'Krrish 3' has received. In an exclusive chat with TOI, he reveals about the success story behind the movie, his equation with Roshans and his upcoming Bollywood projects.

'Krrish 3 will break all records': I am very happy that Krrish 3 has got such a stupendous response. I hope it breaks Chennai Express box-office records. Lot of hard work and planning has gone into its making. The credit of its success completely goes to Rakesh Roshan. It is his labour of love. I have got amazing response for my role and am very happy that children have loved this movie.

About his role: I play a nuclear scientist in the first half of the film who helps Hrithik Roshan to come out of a crisis. This is a positive role and is a catalyst to what happens in the story forward. I have a special sequence with Kangna Ranaut in the movie.

About working with Roshans: It was a pleasure working with both Rakesh and Hrithik Roshan. While Hrithik is a great actor, Rakesh is a very focused director. He is disciplined, punctual and has a vision. People often say that he is a hard taskmaster but I don't agree with them. He is a genuinely nice person. In fact it is important to be a hard taskmaster when you're working on a project as huge as Krrish 3. I think we need more filmmakers like Rakesh Roshan who are disciplined and dedicated to the core.

Upcoming projects: Post Krrish 3, I am working on a horror movie which has been tentatively titled Darr @ Mall. I am also playing an important role in a historical movie which has Punjab in the backdrop. There is another small-budget movie I am part of and it is titled Saturday Night.

Secret behind Krrish 3's success: I am happy that Krrish 3 is a blockbuster. It's an intelligent movie that is made on a huge scale. Lot of hard work, dedication and money has been put in to come up with this movie. The visual effects are breathtaking and I am glad it is extremely popular among both classes and masses.
