Will Aamir Khan play Sachin Tendulkar?

After the stupendous success of 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag', cricketer Virat Kohli feels that a biopic should also be made on cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar. The movie, according to the young cricketer, should trace Sachin's journey, his magnificent career and his bond with his teammates. While we think Sachin has inspired many young boys to follow their dreams, we do agree that a movie on Sachin is something our filmmakers should consider. And with all the frenzy around his retirement, this movie will surely be a blockbuster.

However, it is going to be a Herculean task to find an actor who can do complete justice to bring Sachin live onscreen. The actor will have to not only impersonate his perfection, dedication and mastery of the game, but will also have to bring out qualities like humility and modesty to the fore.

While some might think that after playing a hockey coach in Chak De India, Shah Rukh Khan could pull it off, there are many who might favour Farhan Aktar. However, after great deliberation we think only Aamir Khan can pull this off.

Like Sachin, Aamir Khan too is a master in his field. When it comes to perfection on-field, no one can beat Sachin Tendulkar. Similarly when it comes to playing a role to perfection, Aamir is unbeatable. Both are small in build and both are very hard working. Khan is as dedicated and passionate about his work as Sachin is for his batting.

In fact in a recent interview, Aamir said that when Sachin hits a boundary we feel proud, when he scores a century we feel a sense of achievement, when he wins a match for India, our chest swells with pride. Similarly Aamir has always made us proud with his dedication and the hard work he puts in for each and every movie, be it Ghajini or Dhoom 3.

Aamir is also blessed with humility and modesty just like the Master Blaster. Both the actor and the cricketer have been actively involved in social service. Besides, both Aamir and Sachin share a bond that might just help Aamir in getting some tips from the cricketing genius himself.
