Aarushi Talwar-Hemraj double murder inspires film

Very often, real life inspires reel. The latest in the list is Rahasya, a film that is based on the sensational Aarushi Talwar-Hemraj double murder that took place in Delhi more than five years ago.

Directed by Manish Gupta, the movie, made under the banner of UVI Film Production Pvt Ltd, features Kay Kay Menon, Tisca Chopra, Ashish Vidyarthi and Mita Vashisht in key roles.

Producer Monica Vimal Maluka says, "Rahasya is about a father accused of murdering his only child, a teenage girl, and the CBI investigation that follows." She adds, "Being a mother, I could completely identify with the pain of losing a child so gruesomely."

Manish says, "I have created the plot in a classic Agatha Christie format. There are twists and turns and the suspense unfolds through detailed forensic investigation. The shooting is complete and we are gearing up for release early next year."
