Indian Idol 2 winner Sandeep Acharya died on Sunday at the age of 29 at a private hospital in Gurgaon. He was suffering from jaundice for the past few days. Sandeep was crowned winner of the singing reality show 'Indian Idol Season 2' on April 22, 2006. The playback singer, who is survived by his wife and a month-old daughter, had won the award for best new Bollywood talent in New Jersey. His death has been mourned by his fans across the country. Singer and winner of 'Voice of India' Ishmeet Singh died in a resort in Maldives a few years ago. His death had created a huge controversy as his death happened under mysterious circumstances. Though the post mortem report said Ishmeet had died due to drowning in the swimming pool, the late singer's family claimed he was murdered. The 19-year-old singer had gone to Maldives for a promotional event with the music company with which he had a contract.

Jade Goody, who became famous due to her stint in reality show Big Brother, died in 2009 due to cervical cancer. Jane was accused of showing racist behaviour towards Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty on the show in 2007. However, both of them resolved their differences when they met again in Mumbai on the sets of reality show Bigg Boss in 2009. Jade was only 27 when she died.

A 24-year-old man from Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh, who appeared on 'Rakhi Ka Insaaf', was so upset by the "indecent remarks" made against him by Rakhi Sawant that he allegedly committed suicide. Laxman had gone to the show to resolve his marital discord. However, he felt so humiliated by Rakhi's taunts that he apparently stopped eating and died.

Popular music reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa contestant Namrata Singh and her father Ramesh Singh died earlier this year in a road mishap in Uttar Pradesh. Namrata became popular when she passed the mega audition of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa show in the state. She later went to Mumbai to participate in the contest. Her rendition of Lata Mangeshkar's songs was appreciated by the likes of Shankar Mahadevan and Sajid Wajid.
