You have to ask the writer that. We would like to change it. In Dhoom 3 the scriptwriter is also the director so you have to ask him that. Personally I would love to catch them. Maybe this time we do. I won't tell you but, you have to wait for the film to come out on December 20th to find out.
The Dhoom franchise has become bigger and bigger over the years. What makes the series so viable?
A couple of things make the Dhoom series work. There is a lot of adrenalin rush and action to keep it going. When we started with the first 'Dhoom' we were experimenting. John, Abhishek and I weren't doing great in our careers. We wanted the film to rely heavily on action and from then on action has become another character in the film. Also action excited people and so we try to push the envelope even further and beyond imagination with each film.
Esha Deol and Bipasha Basu caught Ali's fancy in the first two installments of 'Dhoom'. Who is it this time?
An Australian actress Cabrett, catches Ali's fancy in Dhoom 3. She plays the role of a cop in the US and Ali falls for her. It has its moments with the two of them not understanding each others language. But let's just say they speak the universal language of love (laughs).
Like you said Dhoom's action sequences are the most talked about. Tell us some bizarre action sequences in 'Dhoom 3'?
As I said we try to push the envelope with every film. There were no bizarre action sequences so to say but I broke my foot while shooting. It is a superstition where they say if an actor breaks a foot or injures himself during the shoot then the film goes on to become a hit. So let's just say this time I take the credit for the success of Dhoom 3 (laughs).
How was it working with Aamir Khan? I have worked with Aamir before as an assistant director in 'Parampara'. He was different back then. He used to play pranks and was fun earlier, but is calmer now. We were just getting to know each other. I can now say we are friends. Aamir is a superstar so there was always this buzz around him on the set. But he is just a regular guy who would come on the sets even when he wasn't shooting that day and sit in one corner and read a book. We used to tell him subha subha tu kya kar rahai hai. Tereko koi kaam nahi hai? He would just say 'main kya karun ghar jaakar'.
You and your family have this huge history with Shah Rukh Khan. You've assisted Shah Rukh in 'Dil Wale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge' and 'Dil Toh pagal Hai'. How different is your equation with Shah Rukh and Aamir?
Both of them are like chalk and cheese. Shah Rukh is a dear friend. He is very emotional and very involved with my family. He is close to the entire family so that way my equation with him is completely different. But I can't compare the two. I hadn't known Aamir much before but I can say he is a friend today.

Shah Rukh Khan once commented he would like to be a part of Dhoom 5. Are you looking forward to that?
I would love to work with Shah Rukh. He must have said it as a joke (laughs). But there hasn't been a discussion on this before. For us to get Shah Rukh on board the script needs to do justice to his character. It should be well defined. But all said and done, I would love to have Shah Rukh in 'Dhoom'.
Since Shah Rukh showed interest in Dhoom 5, who do you think could be the villain in Dhoom 4? Since Shah Rukh will be there in Dhoom 5, we need to raise the bar and get some Hollywood actor for Dhoom 4 (laughs).
You've worked with Abhishek for so many years now. How do you guys manage to keep the spark in Jai-Ali's bonding alive?
Frankly we don't have to even try. We're friends in real life so acting together was just a natural progression. We don't even do any rehearsals although our director would like that if we do. We're just like camera on kar lo, kuch kar lenge. Even if I give a different expression for a take, Abhishek would react according to that. We're so comfortable with each other.
You handle the Hollywood division of YRF. What are your plans for the same?
Its been three years now. We were exploring in the summer of 2011 and then set up the company. Two movies are already over. 'Grace of Monaco' starring Nicole Kidman will release in March. 'The Longest Week' starring Olivia Wilde and Jason Bateman will release after that. The script for the third film is also ready. It will be a thriller with a female lead and there is another with a love story of a war photographer. We have to go with the times. I don't want to produce something mediocre in Hollywood.

We have seen your father's and brother's work behind the camera? Do you plan to take up direction too?
I don't know about that. Maybe later in life. I am not even sure if I want to direct in Hollywood or India. I am busy at the moment setting this company and adding value to it.
You've worked with Tanisha in 'Neal N Nikki'. Now she is in the Bigg Boss house. Do you watch the show?
No. I am usually out of India. I stay in Los Angeles mostly. But I am aware that she is in the show but I haven't seen a single episode.

And finally no interview of an unmarried actor is complete without getting to know about their marriage plans and this one is no different.
No marriage plans for me as of now. I am an old fashioned guy. I want to first stand on my two feet and then start thinking about settling down. At the moment no marriage plans.
