The show is much acclaimed by the elite audience who may not usually watch the standard saas-bahu serials. It has also brought in a whole new younger audience that finds the show both gripping and engaging.

Chennai Express' TV Premiere (ZEE): redefined satellite viewership
Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express not only has the record of being the top grossing film at the Indian and international box office, but the TV premiere of the film got over 19,000 TVTs, that is a record for any film premiere. It has re-defined the way satellite rights will be sold.

Comedy nights with Kapil (Colors): No.1 non-fiction show
The 10 pm slot on weekends has become 'family time' with Kapil Sharma, who has become as big a star as the superstars in our country. Almost every film and star is vying to get onto the ride with him for promoting their films. And while we have the biggest superstars of our country hosting other shows, Kapil has beaten them all with his unique style of humour.

Bigg Boss-Season 7 (COLORS): remains the most-talked about and controversial show
Bigg Boss this year has returned with a bang. The show, with its high dose of drama, fights and romance has managed to remain a talking point in its seventh season. Not only is Salman's inimitable style irreplaceable, but the show has managed to keep the controversial quotient high, making it one of the most-talked about shows.

Koffee With Karan-Season 4 (STAR WORLD):
Perception beats TVT. It has unbeatable irreverence and social media connect. Karan Johar has managed to build a brand with his quality of connecting with people. Only a Karan Johar is able to bring the most unusual combinations on the same couch, be it the cousins Kareena and Ranbir Kapoor, the father-son duo of Salman and Salim Khan, husband-wife Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao or the ability to bring in the three Khans in one season. The show has managed to trend on Twitter consistently, which is remarkable, making it one of the most-talked about shows.

CID (SONY): longest running show with high TVTs
Even after running consistently for the last 15 years, the show remains in the top 10 which is no mean achievement. Shivaji Satam, who has been playing ACP Pradyuman, has gained iconic status with his signature line 'Kuch toh gadbad hai, darwaza tod do Daya'.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (SAB): The comedy show has given tough competition to family dramas
For the past five years, this comedy show has given family dramas stiff competition and continues to remain in the top three slots.
