When contacted, Kaushal said, "Yes, I am working on the music and background score of the film. I have worked with Mahesh Limaye, who was the cinematographer for 'Bal Gandharva', and is making his directional debut with 'Yellow'. I am happy that I am doing the film, which is very different from the kind of music I make."
When asked about his experience working with Riteish, he replied,"It was very good. He was quite involved in the film and was very involved creatively, as well."
