It's been 33 years for Rajinikanth!

Rajinikanth and Latha tied the knot on 26th of February in 1981 and the couples celebrate their 33nd anniversary today. Rajinikanth and Latha met for the first time when she went to interview him for her college magazine and and they soon decided to get married after seeking their parents' consent.

The couples have two daughters Aishwarya and Soundarya who are happily married. While Aishwarya, the eldest daughter, who is married to actor Dhanush made her debut as director with '3' is working on her next in Vai Raja Vai, Soundarya, married to businessman Ashwin is busy making her directorial debut in Kochaidaiyaan starring her father Rajinikanth.

Rajini's wife Latha graduated with a Master of Arts degree in English literature from Stella Maris College in Chennai in 1980 and is the founder and correspondent of The Ashram, a Chennai-based school.
