Times Of India.com had run a special contest for all Madhuri Dixit's fans on the special occasion of her film Gulaab Gang. This Gulaab Gang, armed with axes and sickles and dressed in pink nine yards, mete out the evil and seek out justice for one and all, while making hand-ground spices, hand-woven baskets and hand-woven clothes, is led by Rajoo, played by Madhuri Dixit. The fans, who got lucky in a contest got a chance to meet and greet their favorite actress in Mumbai. The lucky contestants were Nitesh R Shahani, Jay Patel, Shraddha, Gayatri Mehra, Priti Mehra and Santosh Shivaramrishnan Iyer.

Gayatri Mehta, who travelled from Thane to Filmcity was excited to meet her idol. About her experience, she asserted, "I adore Madhuri Dixit. I was ecstatic once I understood that I was 1 of the lucky winners of the "Gulaab Gang" contest and I would be meeting my idol." "The meet was arranged very professionally and I had a lot of fun connecting with the other fans present there. Madhuri Ma'am was very sweet and greeted everyone in a friendly manner and meeting her was the best thing that could have happened to me. The best part about Madhuri Ma'am was her humility and her respect for her fans. I will always adore Madhuri Dixit."

"I was very happy when I got selected for such an opportunity, I was hoping this meeting was genuine and my hopes were confirmed when I got an entry into her van. I just managed to say "hi good afternoon..." posed for a photograph and, I said to her "have a great day" and bid her goodbye with a heavy heart. I would have loved to spend sum more time in personally meeting her but all good things come to an end, I guess," said Santosh, who travelled from Vashi to meet his all time favorite heroine.

"She was looking absolutely gorgeous and fabulous. Her smile made me fumble a bit but still I managed to tell her how much I loved Gulaab Gang. She was keenly listening to my views. And there was a smile on her beautiful face. While leaving her vanity van, I said, "Ma'am, we are waiting for your next movie." She smiled and winked.She is a perfect example of someone who ages gracefully. And it is a delightful experience always to meet her. Touchwood!," he added.

Nitesh Shahani is a crazy Madhuri Dixit Nene fan and was delighted to meet Madhuri. Talking about his experience, he said, "This was not the first time I was meeting her but the nervousness and excitement was equally as much as my any other meet with her in the past. I entered the van and there she stood dazzling in a beautiful peach saree and with that MILLION DOLLAR SMILE and I died a hundred deaths seeing that smile yet again! :) The first thing I remember stating inside the van was "Paani Milega?", to which she laughed and asked me and my friend Kalpak, another MD fan , about whether we saw the film. She was inquisitively listening to us while we shared how much we liked the movie. She was happy we saw it on the FIRST DAY FIRST SHOW !" He added, "It was indeed an honour to have her sign my college festival VIRSA's poster which happens to be on the theme of Women Empowerment this year. Also at a point later during the picture I mentioned to her , "Ma'am now we are scared of you ...too!" . Yes...post Gulaab Gang, wherein her Rajjo avtar is so fierce that at times as a fan I wondered thinking OMG Madhuri can do this too!!! She laughed at this comment as well. I made her laugh twice in those 3 minutes..That was enough for me to make my day. Lastly, before we left, I shouted saying...."Hoping the movie is a hit!" and she reverted like a sweet innocent kid "Fingers crossed!", and my hope continues ! Those 3 minutes of this meet with her on 7th of March,2014, would remain special to me and an addition to my memories of the meets I have had with her. "
