1) When the producers of Divergent saw Miles Teller's performance in The Spectacular Now, they were bowled over. This was not the case initially when Teller auditioned for Four's role in Divergent. He was allegedly told that he was not going to bag this one, but after the producers saw The Spectacular Now, they changed their minds.
2) Kate Winslet was into her fifth month when she was shooting for Divergent. To cover her bump, the actress was shown carrying folders, files and iPads.
3) The film was made at an estimated budget of $85,000,000 and the weekend gross in the USA was approximately $12,976,413 (USA).
4) This is the second time Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort have paired up in a film, the first one being The Fault in Our Stars where they played onscreen lovers. In Divergent, they play brother and sister to each other.
5) In order to prepare for their roles, the cast had to undergo two months of intense boot camp training.
6) In order from the film's title or any details being leaked out, the makers used a false name 'Catbird' while shooting in public places.
7) Tony Goldwyn replaced Aaron Eckhart to play Andrew Prior.
