Rajinikanth Vs Sudeep yet again?

Rajinikanth's much-awaited film Kochidaiiyan is most likely to hit theaters in the first week of May. Although there has been no official confirmation about this, sources have revealed that the makers of the film are keen on releasing the film next month. Previously, the two clashed during the release of Rajini's Sivaji — The Boss and Sudeep's 73 Shanti Nivasa. At the time though, Sudeep's film did not do as well as expected, but Rajini's film, of course, did great at the BO.

And now, the release of Kochidaiiyan has not just got Kollywood jittery, but also has Sandalwood filmmakers on edge as Rajinikanth is a big star across industries. And Kichcha Sudeep is said to one among those who are worried. The actor is readying to release his film Maanikya either in the last week of April or the first week of May, and if Rajinikanth's film releases at the same time, Sudeep's film will most likely face stiff competition as Bangalore is the second largest market for Tamil films after Chennai. What will also work in Rajinikanth's favour is that this is the actor's first film in four years, meaning that fans of the actor are eagerly waiting to see their idol on the big screen.

What is also a big concern for the makers of Maanikya is that Kochidaiiyan will most likely be screened in most multiplex screens across the city, leaving few screens for Maanikya.
