Madhuri Dixit has been an epitome of dance in Bollywood. The dancing diva is often referred to as the "Dhak Dhak Girl" after her hit and sensuous track Dhak Dhak Karne Laga. The song, which was picturised on Anil Kapoor and herself from the movie Beta (1992), is still famous among the younger generation because Madhuri danced on it. Ranveer Singh, recently did Dhak Dhak, when Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla arrived on Koffee with Karan to promote their movie Gulaab Gang. Karan Johar had a number of young actors roped in to share their love for Madhuri and Juhi on the show in the form of an AV. Ranveer Singh, who is one of his kind, went on to do Dhak Dhak to show his admiration for the diva. Consequently, Madhuri burst into laughter as soon as she saw him doing it and could not stop herself from laughing. Well, it was not Madhuri's fault but it was really hilarious and entertaining.

Priyanka Chopra, who is now a superstar in Bollywood, also attempted doing the Dhak Dhak dance and several other Madhuri songs. Pee Cee did it on the occasion of 25 years of Madhuri Dixit in Hindi cinema at the 56th Filmfare Awards. Priyanka had given a tribute to Madhuri during the show. The actress made the audience feel Madhuri's presence on stage while she was performing it. Pee Cee performed on a number of tracks including Mera Piya Ghar Aya, Ek Do Teen, Dola Re and at the end of it she insisted Madhuri herself to come on stage and both of them concluded the performance with Dola Re.

Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla went on Comedy Nights with Kapil also, as part of the promotion of their last movie Gulaab Gang, where another such incident happened and Juhi danced to Dhak Dhak. Dadi on Kapil's show asked Juhi to dance on Madhuri's track and vice-versa. So, on Juhi's turn she danced on Dhak Dhak Karne Laga and when it was Madhuri's turn, she danced on Juhi's Ghoonghat ki aad me. Well, Juhi did a fair attempt to go the Madhuri way, but couldn't match up to her level.

Next, in the queue is Evelyn Sharma. The model-turned actress of half-German and half-Indian origin tried recreating the magic of Madhuri Dixit in the movie Nautanki Saala. The hot and sensual actress did a fair attempt on the remixed version of the song, sung by Saba Azad. Evelyn Sharma, must have thought of becoming another Madhuri Dixit after this number and gain popularity, but nothing of that sort happened.

The next celebrity who tried doing Dhak Dhak in Madhuri style, was Ragini Khanna. Ragini did it during her Jhalak Dikhla Jaa stint, when the show was themed to be a Madhuri special. Ragini performed on a medley of several other songs of Madhuri including Ke Sera Sera, Ek Do Teen, Didi Tera Devar Deewana, etc. Madhuri was quite impressed by Ragini's enthralling performance and shared that she went into flashback while watching her dance and even came on stage and performed Dhak Dhak Karne Laga with the celebrity contestant.

Antara Mali also tried to perform on the song in the movie "Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon", a 2003 film. Antara Mali plays a poor and uneducated girl, who is a die-hard fan of the actress Madhuri Dixit and wants to become another Madhuri and tries to join Bollywood. The movie was a great attempt to immortalise the contribution of the dancing diva in Bollywood and her fan-following in the country.
