Sumona Chakravarti never thought of being a comedian and also bagging a show purely based on comedy. Comedy Circus on Sony TV was Sumona's first comedy debut, where she was paired opposite Kapil Sharma. The pair also turned to be the winner of that season. " I learnt a lot from Kapil during Comedy Circus as I was not that confident about my comic timings but Kapil was always there encouraging me," said Sumona.

Now, after Comedy Circus, Sumona is basking in the glory of Comedy Nights with Kapil and has also grown as a comedian. On being asked who she admire as a comedian, she replied, "There are many great comedians in our industry like Johnny Lever, Govinda, Chunky pandey and many more but I admire Kapil Sharma first and then Sunil Grover as a comedian. I have seen their talent and they both are outstanding."
