Renowned as a film and fashion icon, Audrey Hepburn was born as Audrey Kathleen Ruston. Audrey received acclaim for her acting and fashion sense during the Golden Age of Hollywood. Audrey's journey to stardom began when she started performing in musical theatre revues High Button Shoes, where she was spotted by an ABPC casting director who registered her as a freelance actress. Hepburn appeared in minor roles in the 1951 films One Wild Oat, Laughter in Paradise, Young Wives' Tale and The Lavender Hill Mob. Her breakthrough came with 'The Secret People' where she played a ballerina and performed many dancing sequences.

After this she bagged a small role in English and French film 'Monte Carlo Baby'. While the shooting of this film French novelist Colette spotted her and offered her broadway play Gigi. Hepburn won Theatre World Award after this play which ran for 219 performances.
