PARNO MITTRA: I had Neymar's picture as the screensaver on my phone till the quarterfinals, but after Brazil lost to Germany, I changed it to the usual one — my father's picture. Though I like Lionel Messi, I knew the Germans will win this time. Theirs is such a strong and dedicated team! Mario Goetze showed that one piece of individual skill during extra time that the Argentines couldn't. But for me, Neymar will remain the real hero! My heart went out to Messi, as he walked alone looking at the ground after Germany won the World Cup at the Maracana.

SOHAM: I am a diehard Brazilian fan and obviously, Neymar's picture was my screensaver from June 12. It's still there and will remain till he still there and will remain till he gets better. I literally cried when he fractured a vertebra after being kneed in the back by Colombia's Juan Zuniga in their quarter final match. But with Brazil out of the picture, I with Brazil out of the picture, I rooted for Germany in the finals and changed my laptop wallpaper to their flag. But now that the final is over, my family picture is back as the wallpaper. But my phone screensaver will still be Neymar! I wish him a speedy recovery.

PAYEL SARKAR: I supported Argentina just for Messi. I just drool over his looks and the way he dribbles the ball. He is super cool! Goetze may have scored the winning goal for Germany in extra time, but for me, Messi is, and always will be the winner, as millions prayed for him. The eyes of the world were on him to produce something great, but at the end of the day, he is not God and can't always create magic! I have a lovely picture of his as my phone screensaver and a picture with his son as my tab's wallpaper.

RANADEB BOSE: I am a German supporter and it's time to celebrate! After all, we are the champions! So, my phone screensaver now is a German jersey. Even before this one, my screensaver was a picture I had downloaded of Thomas Müller and Bastian Schweinsteiger hugging. Being a player myself, I love the German team's dedication towards the game and the way they perform on the field. There is so much to learn from their technique, planning and overall team effort! The final was a nail-biting one, and though my team won, I must say the Argentines played pretty well too.

TANUSREE CHAKRABORTY: Lionel Messi's playing style has been compared to the legendary Diego Maradona, who himself declared Messi his successor. I was supporting Argentina all through and I just love Messi. Undoubtedly, he had brought Argentina to the final almost on his own. My phone screensaver for the past month was a picture of Messi hitting the ball, but on Monday morning, I changed it back to my own picture. But though he couldn't perform any magic on the field during the finals on Sunday, my laptop wallpaper is still his picture, and will continue to be so till the Messi fever stays with me.

ANKUSH: After Brazil was defeated in the semi-final, I began rooting for Argentina! Millions of fans were supporting Argentina just because of Messi, and I'm one of them. But on Monday morning, I changed my phone screensaver from Messi's picture to my own. This World Cup was Messi's chance -to prove that after four years, Argentina could do it. But sadly, that didn't happen. He is great player with a lot of focus, but failed to make a mark. Germany is a brilliant team and though my head kept telling me they would win, deep in my heart, I wanted Argentina to win.
