Sada Canvas
Just released Sada Canvas, again by Subrata Sen, ran into sensor troubles over their poster. The film, featuring Rohit Roy, Paoli Dam and newbie Malobika, traces a triangle lovestory, dealing with deceit and adultery. The poster, that had Rohit and Paoli, was criticized because of the picturization of Malobika sitting in a seductive pose with her back and legs, from knee-down, exposed. The production house though, questioned the censor board's biased treatment, comparing the poster to that of Charulata 2011, which featured Rituparna Sengupta in a similar pose, but with much more of her back exposed.

Chitrangada: The Crowning Wish
Chitrangada: The Crowning Wish, was one of the master director, Rituparno Ghosh's last films. The film, featuring himself and Jisshu Sengupta in pivotal roles, was about a homosexual relationship. When Rituparno's character, Rudra, meets Jisshu's character, Partho, there develops an engaging chemistry between them. It unfolds in a full-fledged relationship, with the couple opting to adopt a child. Since same-sex parents are not alowed to adopt children, Ruudra decides to go through a sex change operation, thus embracing his inherent womanhood. The poster too, is a reflection of the plot, which shows Rituparno, in a transgender avatar, passionately embracing Jisshu, who is leaning over him.

Ei Raat Tomar Aamar
The hot Priyanshu Chatterjee and Meghna Halder feature in this tale of love gone wrong. While in the poster, the two are seen entangled in an intense moments, with not a shred of clothing visible, the film too features quite a few steamy scenes and dialogues that can end up haunting you. The film, interestingly, is inspired by Robert Browning's poem, Pophyria's Lover, in which a man kills his ladylove while making love to her, in order to preserve that moment forever in the scheme of the universe! Whether or not, there's such a scene in the film, you have to check out in the theatres!

Mrs. Sen
Mrs. Sen, Agnidev Chatterjee's much hyped film, with Rohit Roy, Rituparna Sengupta and Hrishitaa Bhatt in the lead, dealt with two women's tryst with identity crisis, as both of them end up questioning their marriage. The movie showcased enough love-making, lip-locks and bed-scenes which were deftly handled and shot with much sincerity. It is this sincerity that made these love-making scenes not gross, but actually steamy. Hrishitaa and Rohit Roy were featured in the poster, in a moment just before they engage in a passionate kiss. The rain and strategically positioned hands of the two made it even steamier.

Koyekti Meyer Galpo
Subrata Sen has never shied away from depicting bold subjects through ultra-bold treatment, when it comes to movies. Koyekti Meyer Galpo was no exception, as he tried to delve into the dark underbelly of Kolkata, dealing with escort service. The film featured an ensemble cast of Raima Sen, Parno Mittra, Locket Chatterjee, Tanusree Chatterjee and Mumtaz Sorcar. It also featured a sequence involving a lesbian couple. The poster of the film was a reflection of the desperation that underlined these young girls' need to flaunt their sexuality. It featured two young women in each others embrace, wrapped in black bedsheet, against a red backdrop, symbolizing sin and sexuality.

Taaan
Taaan, featuring Rituparna Sengupta, also boasted of a pretty bold poster as well as storyline. The film, an adaptation of short story Jalbeshya, dealt with the lives of women living in the remotest part of Sundarbans, who are abducted and brought to jungles only to be groomed as prostitutes. The film had unlimited steam and a cringeworthy amount of skin-show. Wrote the reviwer of TOI, "The director must understand that mere skin show is not enough, if it is not justified and backed by solid performances. "Babu koto jonmer aasha, pipasha niye boshe achhi tomar jonnyo," — when Sundari aka Rituparna Sengupta mouths these words for Saju, it almost makes you cringe. All with her sari wrapped low around her waist, the aanchal that maintains its regular free-fall and reveals her cleavage, her hair held back with a tacky bandana..." The poster too is no less bold, with Rituparna, reprising her Charulata 2011 avatar — sari tied low, but with high hemline exposing the legs. No blouse facilitated a completely exposed back too. Add to that the tagline — Jol, Jangol, Jalabeshyar Galpo — and it definitely raised the mercury.
