1) Scott Lawrence who plays the Principal in the film was called "Obama" on the sets of the film. This was because of he resembled US President Barack Obama
2) Extras on set often broke out into song in between takes to raise the spirits of those who were wet/tired. A favorite amongst the extras was "Come Sail Away" by Styx
3) An open casting call was held in Michigan for the film
