Today, the entire state of Maharashtra is upbeat as citizens are voting for the Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2014. Be it TV stars or Bollywood celebs, a majority from the industry have already cast their votes. While many of them have cast their vote, others are still on the way to their local voting booths to cast their votes. Here's a look at some of the stars who exercised their right today!

Salman Khan tweeted on his account. It reads "Go Vote" #GetInked (sic). The actor advised people to select their leader in the same way as they choose their girlfriend. In an ANI report, he commented, "I want everyone to vote and vote for those who will do good things to their constituency. It is a good feeling that you have voted for a candidate who is doing well for the constituency. Just the way you select your girlfriend, your friends; you must select your leader."

Rekha and Anupam Kher cast their vote: One of Bollywood's divas, Rekha, cast her vote today. The actress was looking stunning like always. The media clicked her pictures while she was walking away after casting her vote. Veteran actor Anupam Kher, whose film Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami recently released, also cast his vote. He tweeted, "Voted :)." (sic)

Renuka Shahane, who became famous with Bollywood's biggest block buster Hum Aapke Hai Koun! also voted. She expressed her feelings on Facebook by posting, "We are not called upon to leave our cushy lives & sacrifice them for our country. The only thing our country needs more than anything else is for us to be responsible, good citizens. We must do our duty. Please vote!!!" (sic)

Funnyman Kapil Sharma's wife Sumona Chakravarti too fulfilled her duty as a citizen by casting her vote. She tweeted, "Go Get Inked #MaharashtraElections." (sic)

Bollywood and TV actor Mandira Bedi posted a picture of her inked finger along with a tweet asking people to go and vote. "Just got inked.. Responsibly! Your turn to do the same. Go vote! Make it count." (sic)

TV actor Nakuul Mehta of Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara fame too cast his vote and tweeted, "Dont be mistaken by the hand. That's the one party i didn't vote for! #maharashtrapolls." (sic). The actor was also amazed with the way his finger was inked as he further tweeted, "Thats exquisite nail paint;). I nailed it! #getinked #maharashtrapolls." (sic)

It was a mere co incidence when Pooja Bedi met Gulshan Grover at the polling booth this morning. The actress tweeted, "Met wonderful Gulshan Grover at the polling booth this morning... "bad man" on reel doing the right thing in real :) pl vote !!!" (sic).
Further she also asked the people of Maharashtra and Haryana to vote. She tweeted, "Voted!!!! & I urge ALL of u in Maharashtra & Haryana to vote:) your vote is your right.. & it DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE! ." (sic)
