We saw Aamir Khan sporting a transistor for the first poster of P.K., which created a huge buzz around the movie. This will be the second time Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Hirani will collaborate after enjoying the huge success of 3 Idiots. The poster had created a lot of curiosity and the actor also received criticism for it. In PK's first poster, Aamir was posing nude with a strategically placed boombox hiding his modesty. While some appreciated the dare bare act, some even criticised it and called it a "publicity stunt". According to IANS, talking about it, Aamir said "When you (audience) will watch the film then only you will be able to understand the idea behind (the poster). But I would just like to say that the kind of filmmaker, the kind of writer Rajkumar is, he always tries to present the things, his thinking, in a unique way and that's why I am his huge fan."

The third motion poster of 'PK' introduced another character, actor Sanjay Dutt, who was seen in a bandmaster avatar while Aamir sported an ill-fitted khakhi uniform. The transistor also made a comeback in the third teaser as Aamir was seen carrying it. The perfectionist that he is, he's known to get into the skin of his character. This time too, he did something very different by undergoing an extended training to learn Bhojpuri for the film. The language in the film plays a key role. It was Aamir's idea to have Bhojpuri in the movie as it would add a quirky and humorous touch to the character and at the same time, people would be able to understand most of it.

The first three posters of PK came out with Aamir Khan on them and the third one also featured Sanjay Dutt on it. Anushka Sharma launched the fourth poster of PK. Her character in the film is called Jagat Janani. Vinod Chopra Films and Rajkumar Hirani Films in association with UTV Motion Pictures present P.K. which releases on 19th December. Director Rajkumar Hirani wanted to see his heroine in short hair and his wish got fulfilled with PK. While fixing the look for Anushka, they tried a few styles but finalized on short hair as it looked absolutely perfect on her.

Anushka Sharma dresses the same way Aamir Khan did in the previous poster of PK. She is also wearing a transistor. Aamir and Anushka are seen together in various outfits and get ups. While the first poster created quite a stir and the next two were widely talked about, the quirkiness of the fourth poster has been liked a lot by people. Each poster reveals a little bit about the characters of P.K. Finally, the fourth poster came out with Anushka Sharma on it.

Raj Kumar Hirani gets Munna Bhai (Sanjay Dutt) and Rancho (Aamir Khan) together for P.K. We have seen the ace director work only with Sanjay Dutt and Aamir Khan in his films up till now. The director shares a very strong bond and level of comfort with both these actors. Hence working on a project like P.K. was a fun ride for all three of them. Both the characters of Munna and Rancho went on to become memorable characters for the audiences and people remember them till date. Going forward, with PK, it only looks like their characters in this upcoming film will become an extension of their identity. Raj Kumar Hirani is extremely glad that he could get his two favourite actors together on board for this ambitious project of his.

While the posters of PK have piqued everyone's curiosity, the teaser has only furthered the interest of audiences. While Aamir Khan has had a series of releases during Christmas, Shahrukh Khan is known to release his films during the festive period of Diwali. A lot of their films have released during festivals. However, there are rumours doing the rounds that Aamir planned to launch the trailer of his film, PK around Diwali, only to clash with the release of SRK's film, Happy New Year. When Aamir heard of these rumours, the actor just laughed them off. When we asked Aamir for a reaction, he denied the allegation, saying, "It's totally untrue. In the past, too, a lot of my trailers have been launched on Diwali — whether it was Taare Zameen Par (2007), Ghajini (2008) or 3 Idiots (2009). Even when Raju (Rajkumar Hirani; director) and I discussed it (the theatrical trailer's launch date), we zeroed down on this festive launch."
