Aamir Khan's Christmas release PK is receiving mixed reactions from the audiences. The film has managed to send the cash registers ringing with decent opening weekend collections at the box office. Those who loved the film were left wanting for more, particularly after Ranbir Kapoor's brief appearance towards the end of the film. So do we expect Aamir to come back with a sequel? According to a report on businessofcinema.com, when asked about the same, Aamir said, "Let's see. You all have to ask Raju Hirani if he is interested in making a sequel. If they make it, it's good. I would like to do it." Aamir also said that Rajkumar Hirani is thinking of getting Ranbir in the sequel too, the report further stated.

There had been a lot of speculation about Aamir Khan's PK and while the subject was a cause of curiosity, the film's name had been of intrigue too. However, ending the mystery, a report in DNA stated that the film has been named after Aamir Khan's character's name in the film. According to the report, the name of Aamir Khan's character in the film is Punmiya Kushal aka PK. It seems that after Phoonsuk Wangdu, Rajkumar Hirani wanted another unique name for his character which also became the name of the film.

Aamir Khan's latest release PK created a lot of curiosity during its promotions. The makers of the film were being very secretive about Aamir's character. From the first look of it, Aamir Khan managed to impress all with his quirky looks and Bhojpuri lingo. The film also stars Anushka Sharma, Sanjay Dutt and Sushant Singh Rajput. Being the perfectionist that he is, Aamir Khan has put in a lot of efforts to perfect his character in the film. Aamir's character's name is called PK, but a secrecy was maintained about the name. According to a report in The Times of India, Aamir Khan will be seen in nine different avatars and during the course of the film, the actor had to eat over 1000 paans. "In real life paan is not a habit, I have it once in a while but for this film I chew paan for every scene. I would at times eat about 100 paans in a day. We had a paanwala on the sets," said Aamir Khan in the report. Apparently, for every take, Aamir had to eat a fresh paan to fill his mouth, also before beginning the shoot Aamir would eat at least 10-15 paans to get the right color inside his mouth and on his lips.

Aamir Khan made a bold move for the first look poster of PK. He posed nude with a transistor and the poster created a rage. However according to a mid-day report the poster was shot two years ago. The report stated that Aamir Khan wanted to be in good shape to shoot the nude poster and hence he had done the photoshoot before the shooting of the film began, as he also had to prepare for Dhoom 3. Aamir surely got the right amount of attention for his film, in the first shot itself.

The film shows Aamir mouthing Bhojpuri dialogues, as the language plays an important role in the film. However to get into the skin of the character, Aamir underwent some intense training. According to a report in The Times of India, Aamir trained for two years under the guidance of Bhojpuri TV writer Shanti Bhushan. The report further quoted Shanti Bhushan as saying, "Since Aamir felt he would need me in case he got stuck while shooting he asked me to also accompany him during shoots. Aamir is so dedicated that he used to learn and rehearse his lines during the break or even while getting ready. Aamir loves the language and 'Tukur tukur,' that he says in the trailer is his favourite Bhojpuri word."

PK once again saw the hit director-actor jodi of Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir Khan coming together. However, this time around, Rajkumar Hirani has not just been the director but has explored other horizons too. According to a report in The Times of India, for one specific song in the film, Rajkumar Hirani wanted a non-filmy choreographer. He wanted a signature move. Kiran Rao and Anushka Sharma both tried to create a cool move but could not impress the filmmaker. Finally Rajkumar Hirani came up with the signature move for the song, and later on Bosco-Caesar were roped in to choreograph the number in the same mood

Sanjay Dutt plays a vital role in PK. The actor's posters were released by the makers, wherein Sanjay Dutt is seen in a bandmaster's avatar. Sanjay Dutt had to complete shooting for the film before he could leave to serve his term at Yerwada jail. According to a Bollywoodlife.com report, Aamir Khan had quickly allotted his dates to PK so that the film would not suffer and Sanjay Dutt could also complete shooting for the film.

Aamir Khan has always preferred to bring in Christmas cheer at the box-office with his big releases. His last few films like 3 Idiots, Ghajini and Dhoom 3 too saw a release towards to end of the year. And hence for PK too the actor booked the slot for the week before Christmas. He had posted on social networking site, "Hey guys, PK release date is finally locked. This Christmas. My lucky date!" However according to a DNA report, PK was earlier slated to hit the theatres in June 2014. The report quoted Aamir saying, "I have not yet seen the first cut of PK. Till I see it, I can't comment much. We are releasing the film on June 6. But if after seeing it, I feel there is more work needed in it, then we will not come out on June 6." So it seems like Aamir didn't want to take a risk with anything and maintain his winning streak at the box-office.
