Story:
A Don's sister falls for his most trusted lieutenant. When he refuses to reciprocate, she vows to destroy him. Her lust and his scorn form the crux of this puerile potboiler.Review: Welcome Vishy (Ajay), a self-styled Robin Hood, who picks up street fights with the local goons to earn himself some mega-bucks. He finds support from his chaat-eating sidekick Moosa (Kunaal Roy Kapur) who is more farcical than funny, part farce. Robin Hood's life takes an amorous twist when he bumps into Khushi (Sonakshi), a 'luckless' media professional. If it is not corny enough to have the girl and the man's names rhyming (Vishy and Khushi), things get completely illogical when the girl starts chasing the boy because she has spied on him semi-nude in her toilet break. This film writer's imagination is warped because Khushi is actually convinced that the hero's half-naked presence is responsible for her changing fortunes. Want to tear your hair out in frustration? Wait, there's more to add to this convoluted screenplay.

Joining the confusion is one-glass-eyed don Xavier Fonseca (Anand Raj), who resides in Bangkok and deals in arms. His sexy sister Marina (Manasvi) falls in lust with her brother's trusted associate AJ(can't reveal his name, without giving away the suspense). Though Marina has the best car, clothes and cigarettes, she cannot canoodle with AJ because his heart lies with another pretty damsel Anusha (Yami). Since hell hath no fury than a Marina scorned, the plot reigns mayhem as it moves from Pune to New Zealand, Bangkok to Austria and finally, to Mumbai with the hero being chased. Corrupt cops and identical twins tumble out of cupboards adding to the confusion.

The action sequences have Tarantino's Kill Bill influence. However, here the animation wipes jump out of nowhere almost startling you. Ajay romancing the sword in his bare-bodied avatar is exciting. He pulls off the comic and the Bazooka killing-machine acts with ease. Sonakshi shimmies well to Himesh Reshammiya's hit ditties -- Keeda and Chichora Piya with Ajay, who tries to do better than stomp. Manasvi shows her shapely body in a bootylicious gangster song, while Yami charms with her girl next-door act. If you're not looking for a mentally stimulating fare, enjoy this ride that is basically meant for the filmi keedas.

There's currently an epidemic of superstar mid-life crisis projects parading as paisa-wasool massy entertainers, but Mr. Prabhu Deva—who started the trend with the rather audacious 'Wanted'—unflinchingly continues to create drivel of the highest order.
'Action Jackson' is high-risk gibberish, and I kid you not, it needs a fair amount of technical bravado, confidence and utter disdain for storytelling. Deva goes the whole hog, no half-measures; he doesn't even listen to himself after committing. As a result, Devgn's latest foray into a world dominated by Khans and Kumar, is an absolute hoot.
It's important to recognize, however, that the movie is designed to be a train wreck. Sample the elements: Two Ajay Devgns (Vishy the local do-gooder, and AJ), one's a poor man's dancing Deol, first-half resembling the randomness of 'Jai Ho', plates of masala-puri being called sevpuri, and Sonakshi Sinha doing her bit yet again for women empowerment. I have no doubt this lady can act, but here she spends most of her screen time trying to yank the pants off her co-star (Singham x 2) and get a glimpse of his crown jewels. This first hour is a different film, a tacky parallel universe that Sajid Khan and Anees Bazmi would be proud of.
But pre-interval, AJ enters. Circus Bizarro begins: A signature guitar riff (last heard during SRK's double-turn in Duplicate), 1000 fps, and B-grade sidekicks on a stormy night. Immensely imaginative Mortal Kombat sequences follow—the sort of bone crunchers that Salman-starrers invariably strive for.
On the run from ex-boss and international don Xavier, who can best be described as Dr. Evil with Ramsay manners and a glass eye (Tamil baddie Anandaraj), AJ gives Prabhu Deva the license to go bonkers. Cue guns, gore n' noise. Nobody and nothing, including your eyes, is spared.
The movie snorts a line of gulal powder in the color-coding suite, and transforms into grindhouse Tarantino on filter kaapi. AJ goes Kill Bill in Reservoir Dog sepia-drenched frames scored to jazz numbers, which gets don's femme-fatale sister Marina (Manasvi Mamgai) all hot and obsessive. This, in spite of his pregnant girlfriend—brave Yami Gautam, who agrees to be a human ragdoll brutalized to within inches of her death...twice. What a sport. Ever so often, proceedings morph into Humshakals doppelganger lines and sari-clad numbers, major downers in the midst of such absurd escapism.
Mamgai's is a fascinating graphic-novelish caricature, a perverse angel straight out of Zack Snyder's Sucker Punch. She waltzes around in slow-mo, enhances an irritatingly catchy soundtrack, and gives everyone the crazy-eye from the thunderstruck skies of Castle-Grayskull-styled skyscrapers. There's a remarkably kitschy shot where the camera tracks out from AJ's face in Aaramnagar (Andheri) across the dark horizon and oceans (?) non-stop to Marina's Bangkok madhouse.
There's suspension of disbelief, and there's Action Jackson—where suspension climbs to the top of Everest, moonwalks and floats into the stratosphere strapped with eardrum-shattering jetpacks. Not usually my cuppa, but perhaps this one time, it is. With a shot of rum.

अगर आप सिर्फ मौज-मस्ती और टाइमपास एंटरटेनमेंट के मकसद से बिना तर्क-वितर्क के फिल्म देखना पसंद करते हैं, तो यकीनन अजय देवगन स्टारर 'ऐक्शन जैक्सन' देखने के बाद आप अपसेट नहीं होंगे। दरअसल, पिछले कुछ सालों से बॉक्स आफिस पर कामयाबी और नंबर वन कलेक्शन की ऐसी दौड़ चल निकली है, जिसमें हर कोई अपनी पिछली फिल्म से ज्यादा कमाई करने के लिए कुछ भी कर सकता है। पिछले सप्ताह नई दिल्ली के होटेल ली मरीडियन में मेरी मुलाकात इस फिल्म के हीरो अजय देवगन से हुई तो उनका पहला सवाल यही था कि फिल्म पहले वीकेंड में कितना कलेक्शन करेगी? वहीं, अगर 90 के दौर की बात करे तो मुझे याद है अजय के पापा वीरू देवगन कभी अपनी किसी फिल्म के सिलसिले में दिल्ली आया करते तो उनका सवाल होता था कि फिल्म कितने सप्ताह चलेगी? सिल्वर जुबली होगी या नहीं?
अब 100-200 करोड़ के कलेक्शन ने सारा सीन ही बदल दिया है। इस फिल्म को देखते वक्त आप ध्यान रखिएगा कि इस कहानी में आपको दिमाग लगाने की जरुरत नहीं है। करीब पौने तीन घंटे की यह फिल्म दर्शकों की उस क्लास के लिए तो झेलना भी मुश्किल होगी, जो सिनेमा में नयापन और लीक से हटकर कुछ नया देखने की चाहत में थिअटर जाते हैं। अपने अब तक के करियर में अजय देवगन ने कई ऐसे डांस मूव्स किए हैं, जिन्हें देखकर पता चलता है कि अजय डांस की कितनी एबीसीडी जानते हैं। प्रभुदेवा की पिछली फिल्में वॉन्टेड और राउडी राठौर ने बॉक्स आफिस पर कामयाबी और कलेक्शन के नए रेकॉर्ड बनाए, तो सलमान खान को वॉन्टेड से ऐसा स्टार बनाया जो अब करोड़ों की कमाई की गारंटी बन चुके हैं। राउडी राठौर में अक्षय ने डबल रोल किया तो अब बारी अजय देवगन की है।
कहानी: फिल्म में अजय देवगन विशी और एजे के किरदार में है। एजे एक इंटरनैशनल अंडरवर्ल्ड डॉन (अनंद राज) के गैंग का शातिर सदस्य है, जो अपने बॉस का सबसे खास और वफादार साथी है। बॉस की बहन (मानस्वी) हर सूरत में एजे को अपना बनाना चाहती है। दूसरी ओर, विशी मुंबई में एक लोकल टपोरी टाइप गुंडा है, जो अपने जिगरी दोस्त मूसा (कुणाल रॉय कपूर) के साथ मिलकर मारपीट करता है। विशी बेशक सड़कों पर मारधाड़ करता हो, मवाली टाइप हो, लेकिन उसमें खूबियां भी कम नहीं है।
खुशी (सोनाक्षी सिन्हा) एक कंपनी में काम करती है। विशी के ज्यादातर दोस्त खुशी को अनलकी लड़की मानते हैं, जिसका किस्मत साथ नहीं देती। लेकिन, खुशी जब भी विशी से मिलती है तो उसकी जिंदगी में कुछ ना कुछ अच्छा होता है। चंद मुलाकात के बाद खुशी को विशी से प्यार हो जाता है। कुछ समय बाद एजे पुणे चला आता है। कभी बॉस का राइट हैंड रहा एजे अब उसका सबसे बडा दुश्मन है। दरअसल, एजे बैंकॉक से अपनी प्रेमिका अनुषा (यामी गौतम) को डॉन और उसकी बहन से बचाते हुए उसके इलाज के लिए भारत आया है।
अनुषा की कोख में एजे का बच्चा भी है। विशी और एजे की मुलकात होती है। दोनों एक दूसरे को देखने के बाद हैरान रह जाते हैं, लेकिन एक-दूसरे के बारे में सबकुछ जानने के बाद दोनों एक-दूसरे की मदद करने का फैसला करते हैं। डॉन को सबक सिखाने और उसे बैंकॉक में संभालने के मकसद से एजे एक प्लान बनाता है। इस प्लान में विशी उसके साथ है।
ऐक्टिंग: अजय देवगन डबल रोल में है, लेकिन दोनों ही किरदारों में लात-घूंसे और गोलियां चलाते नजर आते हैं। स्टार्ट टु लॉस्ट अजय को बस ऐक्शन करते ही दिखाया गया है। बेशक अजय ने अपने दोनों किरदारों के साथ न्याय करने की कोशिश की है, लेकिन अफसोस कि उन्हें इन दोनों किरदारों में डायरेक्टर प्रभुदेवा ने ऐक्टिंग करने का मौका नहीं दिया। सोनाक्षी सिन्हा फिल्म में क्या कर रही हैं, यह तो खुद सोनाक्षी को इस फिल्म को देखने के बाद सोचना चाहिए। अनुषा के किरदार में यामी गौतम ने प्रभावित किया, लेकिन डॉन की बहन बनी मानस्वी ने अपनी अलग छाप छोड़ी है। आनंद राज मेन विलेन बने हैं, लेकिन मानस्वी उनपर भारी पड़ी हैं। विशी के दोस्त मूसा के रोल में कुणाल रॉय कपूर छोटे से किरदार में अपनी जगह बनाने मे कामयाब रहे।
निर्देशन: प्रभुदेवा ने वॉन्टेड और राउडी राठौर के बाद एकबार फिर टोटली चालू मसालों और ऐक्शन को पिरोकर ऐसी कहानी पर फिल्म बना डाली, जो एक खास क्लास को थिअटर तक लाने का दम रखती है। बेशक निर्देशन में जरा भी नयापन नहीं है, लेकिन शुरुआती करीब 20 मिनट की फिल्म के बाद प्रभु ने फिल्म की गति को कहीं धीमा नहीं पड़ने दिया। यही वजह है फ्रंट क्लास और सिंगल स्क्रीन थिअटरों में फिल्म दर्शकों को बांधने का दम रखती है। साउथ की स्टाइल पर प्रभु ने फिल्म में डांस, कॉमिडी और ऐक्शन को ही ज्यादा परोसा है। कैमरा ट्रिक और स्टार्ट टु लॉस्ट मारामारी और गोलियों की बौछार को गानों की चाशनी में परोसने के अलावा कुछ और नहीं किया।
संगीत: फिल्म का एक गाना सूर्य अस्त पंजाबी मस्त... पहले से म्यूजिक लवर्स की जुबां पर है।
क्यों देखें: अगर टोटली ऐक्शन और 70 के दशक से हिंदी फिल्मों में नजर आने वाले चालू मसालों को हजम करने का जज्बा है, तो ऐक्शन जैक्सन से मिल आएं। हां, कुछ नया देखने की चाहत और लीक से हटकर बनी फिल्मों और अजय देगवन की अच्छी ऐक्टिंग देखना चाहते हैं, तो प्रभु की यह फिल्म आपको अपसेट करेगी, क्योंकि 80 फीसदी फिल्म मे गोलियों की बौछार है।

2) First the music of the film was created and later Prabhu Dheva choreographed the fight sequences to match the beats of the music.

9) The shoot of Action Jackson had to be cancelled for two days when Ajay Devgn hurt himself. Sonakshi Sinha had to throw flour (atta) at Ajay Devgn for one sequence, and some of the flour ended up in Ajay's eyes.
10) Apparently, the hat that Ajay sports in the film is similar to what Prabhu Dheva likes to wear, and is actually a style of Prabhu Dheva's father Sundaram.
