1) Tevar is an adaptation of 2003 Telugu film Okkadu.
2) The song 'Main toh Superman....Salman ka fan' was first heard by Salman Khan before the team started shooting for it and apparently Salman liked the song a lot. It is Arjun Kapoor's tribute to his idol Salman Khan.
3) Manoj Bajpayee came onboard for Tevar as he would get to work with his good friend Boney Kapoor's son Arjun Kapoor.
4) During the shooting of Tevar, Sonakshi Sinha and Arjun Kapoor were rumoured to be dating.
5) Sonakshi Sinha apparently lost a lot of weight before shooting for the song Radha Nachegi.
6) Boney Kapoor became very protective about Sonakshi Sinha and advised his son Arjun how to behave with her.

Plot Summary
Tevar is a remake of Okkadu, a Telugu film made in 2003. Only this time, it is pitched between Agra and Mathura. Pintoo Shukla or Ghanshyam (Arjun Kapoor), as he is called by his parents - Raj Babbar (the superintendent of Police) and Deepti Naval - is a young Kabbadi player from Agra. When is not playing the Indian sport, he is busy twisting necks and breaking bones. Actually he takes on all the goonda elements in his neighbourhood and comes down really hard on the eve-teasers. He has a young sister, Pinky who is a chatter-box and with whom he shares a good relationship.
In Mathura lives Radhika, a young college student. Her father is an upright professor, her brother is a righteous journalist. Their world is simple. They want Radhika to go to the US, marry a good NRI boy and settle down. However, before Radhika can even embark on her journey, Gajender Singh, a corrupt politician and brother of Home Minister (Mahender Singh), falls in love with Radhika. After that he chases the poor girl. As she tries to free herself from his clutches, she bumps into Pintoo who decides to help her.
After Gajender kills Radhika's brother, Pintoo hides her in his house in Agra. Even his parents are unaware of this development. Pintoo's sister is a party to his secret and she realises somewhere that her brother and Radhika are slowly getting drawn to one another. A lot is left unsaid between the boy and the girl. However when Gajender tracks Radhika down and threatens to marry her against her wishes, Pintoo runs off with her one final time. On their journey to the airport, they discover their true feelings for one another.
Spoiler ahead - (climax)
An aggressive Pintoo is still unable to overpower Gajender in the climax. As Radhika rushes into Pintoo's arms, a badly wounded Gajender attempts to get up and shoot him. But before he can do so. yet another bullet is fired at Gajender, who drops dead. In the film's best-kept secret we learn that Kakdi, who has been faithful to Gajender all along, has now switched sides and joined Gajender's elder brother Mahender. Mahender who has been humiliated by Gajender and who can no longer tolerate his waywardness orders Kakdi to kill his younger brother. And once Gajender dies, Kakdi becomes the new Bahubali.
The directorial venture of ad maker Amit Sharma and produced by Boney Kapoor, Tevar released on about 3000 screens.
