According to a report in Koimoi, the film made 41 crores at the Box Office in its first weekend and the report further states that Holiday also surpassed the lifetime collections of Amitabh Bachchan's Bhoothnath Returns which stood with a lifetime collection 37.50 crores.

Holiday is a remake of the 2012 Tamil film Thuppakki starring Vijay and Kajal Agarwal in lead roles which was also directed by A. R. Murugadoss.
