A hot statement came from Sonam Kapoor for Kareena Kapoor. A few years back Sonam had praised Bebo for her dressing sense and style. So much was Sonam in awe of Kareena, that she didn't mind turning 'gay' for her. According to a report on Times of India, Sonam Kapoor said, "I wouldn't mind turning gay for Kareena". However after all the praise, something bitchy about Kareena also comes out. Sonam had commented that Kareena Kapoor is huge on gossip. With a facial expression giving away that Kareena is the Miss tittle-tattle of Bollywood.

Sonam Kapoor made a statement about actresses in Bollywood. She said, "If you're not good looking, they think you are a good actor. Just because you look like ordinary and act loud doesn't mean that you are a good actor. That is like rubbish." Kangana Ranaut seems to have taken this comment straight to heart. Reportedly Kangana said that according to Sonam's theory, Kangana Ranaut would be the ugliest actress in the industry - considering the success of Queen.

Sonam Kapoor did not spare her close contemporary from Bollywood - Deepika Padukone. Sonam made several unpleasant remarks about Deepika, saying that she is a good girl gone bad and that Dippy has an over enthusiastic PR team. While that was not enough, Sonam even passed a comment about Deepika's dressing sense, that she doesn't have her own style and that Dippy is a clotheshorse. Deepika swears by designer Anaita Shroff. Good for Sonam, as Deepika choose to respect her opinion.

While commenting about Deepika Padukone was not enough, Sonam even decided to take on Parineeti Chopra. Karan Johar asked Sonam about Parineeti's fashion sense. Instead of saying something non-controversial, Sonam states, "Don't wear those tight clothes." Parineeti Chopra on the other hand doled out some of her own advice for Sonam Kapoor. Probably considering the talkative streak of the actress, Parineeti Chopra said that Sonam should endorse an unlimited talk time plan. Seems like Sonam is just picking up fights with her contemporaries with her 'just in jest' statements.

In 2009, an excited Sonam announced that she will be walking the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival for a brand. With Ash already a part of the same brand, she was reportedly upset with Sonam's statement. Ash had her way, and eventually Sonam did not end up at the festival that year. In this high end drama, Sonam reportedly made a shocking statement of allegedly calling Aishwarya Rai Bachchan an 'aunty'. However now all seems well between the two, as Sonam had recently visited the Bachchan household for festive celebrations.
