His maiden venture, titled Supermodel, stars Veena Malik, Ashmit Patel and Jackie Shroff. The film is about the life of a model who aspires for success and glory. She participates in a contest for a calendar shoot in Fiji Islands but ends up getting trapped in conspiracies and a murder.
"Calendar shoots are a popular concept and are held all across the world. The idea for the film came from such shoots," says Prem, the associate producer, who has also produced a music album titled Vodka Shot.
He adds, "As a producer, I wanted to make musical entertainers. Supermodel is just that and is also a thriller." Directed by Navin Batra, the music for the film has been composed by DJ Shezwood.
On his leading lady, Prem says, "Veena is punctual and is a disciplined actress. She looks gorgeous in the film and has acted brilliantly."
Supermodel, produced by Pen N Camera International, releases on September 27.
