Karan had a little blooper moment while he called veteran actress Tanuja on stage to receive her Lifetime Achievement Award at the 59th Idea Filmfare Awards 2013. While giving a speech about Tanuja's elaborate journey in Bollywood KJo had to say, "Yeh unn naayab kaalakaro mein se hai..." instead he ended up fumbling every time on the word 'naayab' leaving the August gathering in splits.

Tanuja's daughter Kajol who was sitting right in the front was one of those who laughed out loud at her good friend's expense. Addressing Kajol directly, Karan then retorted, "How can you do this to me, especially when your mother is getting an award?"
In order to tease KJo, good friend Farhan Akhtar, who was seated close by, then came on stage, delivered the very lines flawlessly, clapped for himself and exited, much to everyone's amusement.

Maybe after this incident Karan can update his infamous rapid fire round with a tongue-twister just for practice, what say?
